Shattap!

It is unlawful to source funding abroad to run campaign or any political activity in nigeria.

Obi is no different than Kanu going abroad speaking at invitations and collecting money to print scam passports and IDs.

Sorry I don't deal with insolent little kids .

Have a nice day.

Yes. He was involved with the first telecom into Nigeria. He was the first to start seeking for telecom investors. Lagos was the first state to invest too.

I have no time for your uselesssss gibberish.
Masiyiwa the owner never said that. Tinubu is not in a position to know which state was first to invest because he does not work for Econet so he can't know who or what they were working with.
Besides, you can't be first to invest and be a secondary shareholder. It is because you're ignorant that you believe Tinubu was first to invest yet Oba Otudeko was first board chairman. The chairman of a corporate outfit is usually the majority shareholder from one of those who hold primary shares. If Lagos had 10% primary shares, Lagos state will automatically have the right to appoint the board chairman. But we all know Oba Otudeko and not Lagos state was the board chairman.
You're a daft, ignorant punk

I think the organizers are using it to raise funds. Who will pay for the hall, refreshments and other logistics to be used for the so-called town hall meetings, Peter Obi? You guys must be jokers because even flying around from one city to another costs a lot of money. Anwyays, I am sure the organizers have a better explanation for it. Attendance no be by force. If Farook doesn't attend, many Nigerians are eager to do so as we have seen.

I still maintain that Labour Party needs a lot of money to win this election because you cannot do so without spending money when you are running against moneybags. Tinubu and Atiku will use money to buy up all the voters. If charging privileged Nigerians in America is a way of raising funds for Labour Party in order to have enough resources to win this election, so be it!

We don't even know where you people standing, your Pet'hief Obi no dey give shishi but systematically rubbing his gullible supporters and you claimed he'll still bribe for peoples' votes, that's hypocrite of you and your likes.

Eko Atlantic revenue is shared by Lagos state government and the investors whereas Innoson revenue goes to the owner of Innoson and his investors alone. Any tax he pays to the state government is no different from what the proprietor of a private school pays to the state government. Doesn't mean the private school belong to the state government. When you are not a criminal who steals money belonging to your fellow citizens and when you are not one of those benefiting from the stealing ( and therefore insinuate that someone doing the right thing is taking money off others), then you will understand that taking a fee for a political meeting is a legal means of raising funds for elections, including in the USA.

But then you have to be a decent human to understand that and not use it as a cheap shot to influence the gullible.

I hope more Nigerian politicians use meetings and online funding as a means of attracting funds direct from the electorate. That way they won't be beholden to any godfather who will later want his pound of flesh.

The Eko Atlantic city came to be as a result of Tinubu attempt to solve the water waves that was disturbing Lagos citizens. He spent a lot on it. He ended up curbing it and also created a mega hub out of it, partnered it with investors and Lagos government. The eventual revenues goes to Lagos state government and the investors.

This is different from Innoson who's a private individual business where the revenue goes to him and his investors, similar to a proprietor of a private schools. They only pay tax to the state government. Digest these into your stoopid brain.

The dullard (Obi) who came out of school with a third class after 8 years in school didn't even know it's not allowed in our electoral law to raise fund outside of Nigeria for election. FG is now beaming a search light on foreign inflows into their accounts. Some of them may be arrested even before the election

It's against the electoral laws of Nigeria and even the USA for a Presidential candidate to be sponsored from abroad.

It would have been appropriate if Peter Obi is contesting for Presidential election in the US.

Exactly what came to my mind when I saw the flier. Obi is now using the same Nnamdi Kanu format. Make so much noise on social about secession/presidential ambition that can’t be achieved. Once gullible folks from the SE buy into it, start a town hall meeting series in western cities to raise funds that are then diverted for personal use and never accounted for. Same shit, different toilet.

This shows that a good number of you who carry politicians especially Tinubu on your heads are ignorant, daft morons who don't know anything about anything related to governance, politics or democratic systems in operation in Nigeria.
Instead of you to take your time to study and understand how things work before you take a position, you just carry politicians on your head based on tribal, religious or pecuniary sentiments.
If you had any atom of knowledge about corporate governance and capital market systems, you'll realise that there are different types of shares one can hold and that a primary shareholder, will have a place on the board of the company.
Thus, if Lagos was a primary shareholder as you claim, they will have a representative on the board of Econet.
This fact buttresses Musiyiwa and Daily trust who said Lagos was a secondary shareholder.
You're a simpleton obviously and not fit to engage in public discourse.
