Where have you been?
Re: Abia State Development Thread- PICTURES by 3duj: 11:53pm On Sep 03, 2022
The city of Aba was planned to international standards and it's road infrastructure collapsed from 1999 only when it's vast network of underground tunnels got blocked due to very poor sanitation.

Greatful that efforts are being made to recover the tunnels left ,but isn't there a safer way to desilt and unblock them ?

Exactly. My friend in Ariaria was surprised when i told him that Osisioma flyover was completed. He rarely leaves Ariaria, lives at Samek. Thats how majority of Aba people are

Exactly... Almost every Sub town in Aba has what everyone needs to survive so Aba people hardly move inside different towns .. E.g Some People in OH City (Ogbor hill) don't even know where is Obohia ... Some in Okpu umuobo don't know Alaorji while those in Ohanku dont know Umungasi Lol..because all areas have Mini n Major markets, Church, Schools, Banks etc Same with Lagos

Aba people don't even use Ariaria Market much...

Facts. I stay at Ogbor hill, and i have never used Ariaria market. I buy at ahia ohuru, and get my foot wears at park. I might stay 3-5 months before getting near faulks road. Banks abound everywhere, so no need to get inside the main Aba town. Truly though, Aba is well planned. All we need is just good roads, nothing else

So far he is the best. Let him try and finish Faulks road asap. People still throw punches at him cos of that road. I am happy that Ngwa roads repair coupled with Eziukwu and the ongoing PH road and Obohia has closed their mouths. But like i said, he should try to round them up before leaving office

History will forever be kind to OVI. prior to his tenure (2015), there was only a single major motorable road in Aba, our markets where dying, schools collapsed and investors fleeing .

today he has done a flyover, 3 bridges and hundreds of roads. More needs to be done though.

the world class (structurally) teaching hospital in Abia should be privatized (government in Nigeria has proven inept In running institutions) , majority shares in International glass should be sold to a world renown glass company ,Aba needs 2 more flyovers (at Azikiwe by asa and at ogbor hill ) and of very great importance, an area needs to be set out and planned for expansion of Aba and if course the pH road area needs more roads

and of course Aba people defied the Monday sit at home to come show support to the man of the moment.

Don think any sitting governor of Abia state have been able to pull this type of crowd late into there second tenure. At this period of T.a orji's tenure,he was getting pelted with satchel water if he dared showed his face in Aba and despite the hundreds of military men he came with .

And this shows that not social media hype is very far from reality .

Is Avia state a river line area, why so much dirty water and clogged up places... (I haven't stayed there, just drove pass when leaving Delta to Enugu)

Nah.....its not like Owerri, but social life is massive compared to before. there has been an influx of hotels and night clubs in aba. Even for the first time in Aba, a mall. Its funny though

The picture below is of the biggest club in Aba opened this year.

Delta? to Enugu?? Which route did you take to pass Abia? Which part of Abia did you pass?

To answer you though, Aba (not much sure of other parts of Abia) is a flat land. Which makes water flooding on roads almost common. In areas with good roads and drainage system the water floods while its raining and drains of less than 15mins after rain stops

The federal road just passed Osisioma (which was why the flyover was postponed since) heading towards Alaojii. But no, it is still bad. Obohia road which terminates somewhere Abia has boundary with Rivers state is going on. Ph road which terminates at Alaojii is ongoing. Long story short, the road to Ph is bad
