Hello house,

I have a question please!

I got SINP nomination. The cut off point was exactly my score! However, I claimed to have 7years experinece whereas I have about 6years and 8months. The reason I approximated it was because I couldn't find any figure inbetween (e.g 6.5 years or option of inputing years and months on the SINP portal). I also didn't want to throw away the 8months because I felt that 8months was near 1 year and could be appriximated to one year. By the time I will be submitting my application, I should be 6years and 10months. Should I be bothered about rejection or misrepresentation? Kindly help as this is the only snag preventing me from not making up my mind to submit.

Search on NL and Canada.visa for people who have done SINP, they may have links. I don't, sorry.

Hello everyone, please can police report still be done in state headquarters? Precisely in Osogbo

Martinkev:
I also need information on this please, but for Edo state, Benin City.

I think they only do it at the HQ in Lagos but follow the new online process below and then go ask at your State Command on how to send prints to Lagos OR search NL for Inspector Rose/Moshood who may be able to advise on how to send your fingerprints

OND alone cant give you any reasonable points, and you cant evaluate HND without evaluating OND. nothing advisable here, evaluate both

Thank you for your advice. I intend to remark the writing and speaking. Sorry for the typo error. I hope it’s not too late to apply for remark, I got my result last week Friday 2nd September.
You can still request remark within 6weeks of the IELTS test date on your report form.

An applicant was rejected because her inland spouse did not disclose some work he did for a company he co-founded. IMO, he did not even need to state it in work history, he would probably have been OK to state it in his personal history, even if it wasn't in his employment history.

Following the interview, (sic) the applicant was given further opportunity to comment in writing to the concerns raised at interview. In response, Mr Akintunde’s representative has stated that Mr Akintunde did not declare his work experience as an educational agent because he did not receive any commission or fees for advancing payments for student tuition or government fees. She further stated that the principal applicant had “no knowledge of any changes with Edu-fount other than it was not making any money and as such was not employment.”

I find this explanation problematic on two fronts. First, the payment of a commission or fee is not a pre-requisite for declaring employment; nor is the profitability of one’s own company. Mr Akintunde stated at interview that he is an “entrepreneur” and Edu-fount was his business.

His explanation for not including it on his form was that he was doing this “on the side” and that he did not think he had to declare it since he was not the principal applicant. These explanations do not overcome concerns given the question posed on the relevant form.

They tried to argue it was an innocent omission because it was included in a previous IRCC application. That argument did not fly. Some people may get away with it, these guys didn't.

[53] Applicants should not expect an officer to keep a running tally of all documents ever submitted by an applicant nor expect an officer to do an applicant’s work for them. Visa officers are busy processing current applications. The Officer has attested to not having time to look for missing information in prior applications. The Applicant has not shown that it would be reasonable to expect an officer to cull through prior applications because an applicant says “I submitted that information before.” If something was previously disclosed, but is relevant to a question on a current application, then the onus is on the Applicant to disclose it again.

This review just dey carry me go where I nor know. In this same review, I saw a lot of misrepresentation on his part,

The students he helped with visa application. From the review, some of the student visa applications had a similar or identical pattern of bank statements and letters of intents so there is going to be a separate investigation for that as well. Those students with successful visa applications probably thinking they are one way close to their dream life in Canada may be in for a big surprise.

He declared the same business in his student application but conveniently chose to not declare in their PR application. Someone on a group I belong to pointed out the possibility of him trying to avoid getting caught for not paying tax since the business transactions happened while in Canada. You can’t cheat the system and get away with it.

With regards to students who may have their stay threatened, when they say avoid agents, some people still think agent is the lord and all and if they don’t go through them they can’t make it.

Plus they both had different answers to their interview questions even though the review did admit they were unfair to them by not revealing the reason they were being called for an interview/given a PFL but their role in the “innocent misrepresentation” didn’t make it easier to help them. The review just opened cans of worm. I wish them all the best and really hope there is a coming back from this.

I just went through the JR and phew! Some people have gotten away with things like this while others are unfortunate to not. I think the conflicting answers from the applicant's spouse and his legal representative after the phone call for PFL broke the camel's back and then the credit card linked to student visa applications and the account statements too, everything joins together just scattered the thing for him. The inconsistencies were a lot to overlook.

Quick question concerning Proof of funds please. So I am Currently working and my savings are in close relatives businesses as Investments. However, I also intend to sell my old car and put that forward as my proof of funds since my salary is used to run my life and cater to bills. Would it raise flags however if I sell my car, submit the necessary documents showing the car was mine and the chèque proving thé sale and then submit my bank statement. I guess my point is will the VO show concern that I just sold my car and am submitting that as proof of funds?
I couldn’t just leave my savings in my bank account, because given the way this country is moving mad, you need multiple sources of income. It’s also not going to be difficult to collect my money back but that aside, I had always intended to sell my old car for POF when the time comes.

Maybe get your family people involved? What is his plan for relocation? Like what is he saying? You haven’t given enough information but if I’m going off the vibe of this question, it sounds like your husband is abandoning you? And if that is truly the case, you should find out what his plan is and then get your family people involved.

Their matter is pregnant and nursing a baby!!!

I think the other investigation into credit card payments/student applications saga with same bank statements and SOP was the trigger!

Moral of the story:
*just do normal and talk true - if you were a director for company that is not in operation, never took off or has gone moribund, just state it. If they never paid you but you volunteered there, just say so. If you were refused a visa, just tell them.

*be careful who makes application fee credit card payments for you

*steer clear of agents/consultants!!!

See another case where the applicant wanted to jejely confess that her hubby had immigration issues from another country and had been deported. Consultant told her not to worry and did not mention it in her application. When IRCC asked her for further details about Oga, she quickly fessed up and even told them she was sacking the consultant. Her app was rejected las las.....BUT she filed for JR and it was granted, sent back for another VO to determine. Lucky lady! https://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/decisions/en/item/522068/index.do?q=express+entry

[25] In her affidavit filed in this judicial review, Ms. Aluthge set out the following circumstances in relation to the incompetence allegation:

Prior to submitting the first application for permanent residence, she disclosed to the Consultant’s firm that her husband had been deported from Australia and asked whether this information needed to be disclosed. She was advised over the phone by the Consultant’s staff member that this did not need to be disclosed;

Prior to submitting the second application for permanent residence, Ms. Aluthge asked again whether her husband’s deportation needed to be disclosed. She specifically raised this issue because she understood that the information may be discovered by IRCC when her husband submitted his biometric information. She was assured, through text messaging and over the phone, by various staff members of the Consultant that this information need not be disclosed;

The Consultant’s firm told Ms. Aluthge that the deportation need not be disclosed because: i) the deportation happened over ten years ago; and ii) there was no criminal record that resulted from the deportation.

[41] I am satisfied there is a reasonable probability that Ms. Aluthge would have disclosed the information, had the Consultant not advised that the disclosure was unnecessary. Had the Applicants disclosed Mr. Rajapakse Mudiyanselage’s deportation from Australia, the Officer would not have refused their application due to misrepresentation, nor would the Applicants be subject to the 5-year bar on entering Canada or applying for permanent residence in Canada

If your question is "can you sell your car, pay the money in a bank account or investment account and show that account and bank ref letter along with proof of sale of the car as POF", then the answer is "yes, absolutely"!

The investments in your relative's businesses cannot be POF though, as far as I understand it, unless you get your money back and pay into an bank account or investment account.

Read up on POF on page 1.

I've made up my mind to decline anyways. The funny thing is that 3 subsequent draws were far lower than my score by more than 6 marks. That's less than 3years working experience. The latest draw even accepted 60marks. I had 66, but mistakenly put 67! Oversabi don ruin my chances! Too much mathematics approximation!

Decline, then edit if there is room for that, otherwise, create another EOI using the correct years of experience. Yesterday’s draw was 60! Who ever thought that would happen?

Am I allowed to create another EOI while I already have received ITA, and they are awaiting my application (response) to the ITA? My submission date is still left about 1 month.

Can I do so now?

My people has been involved but he is too stubborn and doesn't want to listen to anyone just bent on going alone and using financial criteria as excuse while I proffered a good solution to funds which he rejected cause he obviously wants to go alone and abandon the wife n kids
