July 10th

It's only been 8 weeks. The average processing time is 12 weeks. Stop sending emails and webforms for now. Wait till you reach the 12th week.

Applications can be rejected even after upfront medical is passed, so stay level headed.

For a second time applicant.

I’m curious because someone I know applied 3 days before me and got it on the 7th week. We’re both second time applicant, so I was wondering

Sorry Sir… You have to keep waiting. Updating your medical doesn’t mean PPR will come next week. Some people’s eligibility last longer than the application processing time itself. It will come

Thank you

This is family problem… it’s not for NL… They should sort it out. Disloyal spouse, you still married the person and had kids with the person… Eh, she should apply to leave with her kids na… a different application… Make all of us dey go Canada. Not wanting to take the family along may be due to finances or maybe na japa from family or is he going to study? Either way I don’t think this is the right place to discuss this. She can speak to her lawyer for advice
Things were okay until he got admission and started misbehaving to this point of wanting to abandon the wife n kids to run.. and for the wife is not easy to travel with the kids alone, wife came up with idea of sponsor for all of but he refused and just wants to go alone without making provisions for the kids upkeep

I hope you are using the new portal?
Maiyaki813:
Hi everyone, thank you for all the helpful tips you share on here. I am having an issue with my study permit application. Got admission into University Canada West for an MBA program. I am having issue with uploading my documents on the IRCC portal. For example the document “IMM 5645” Family Information document, I filled it using adobe acrobat reader. But I’m unable to upload back to the website. Once I click the document for upload, it brings “ please wait… if this message is not eventually replaced by the proper content of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe reader ………………..”. Despite that the version of Adobe I downloaded is the latest and it allowed me fill the form . Uploading it is a problem, it’s bringing a different form instead of what I filled. Please how can you help me out? I have used MacBook, even used a windows laptop, nothing is changing.

Also if there’s anyone here currently filling the study permit application, please holla so I can reach out and we can scale this together . We can be application buddies if you don’t mind

I will advise the wife seeks mediation either from trusted family members or elders that they both know. Resolving their differences now should be the priority

I'm not certain you read what triggered the back n forth, if he wants to reply I think he has the right to.

You will also agree that it takes nothing to reply with courtesy because we don't know each other personally here.

We are all here to learn and support eachother, no one here is a VO or knows for sure how these things work, we only assume based on experiences, faith n hope so making comments like you have first hand knowledge is distracting and came be damaging if proper caution is not taken.

I’m sorry to ask but I need to know, how did you get your updated LOA?

And did they asked for updated SOA or POF before your PPR?

Please how do we pay to a Canadian school using Form A. There is a section in the form A form requesting for Bank IBAN NUMBER but Canadian banks don't use IBAN NUMBER. Please, what is one expected to fill in that Column?

Thanks

SOPWriter:
How to Choose the Right School for a Postgraduate Program

When it comes to choice of school, some individuals consider this as an herculean task, and that is why it could be hard to answer the “Why this school?” question, when standing in front of that beast of a VO.

As usual, I will be brief while giving out my tips.

You are welcome to ask your questions as we proceed.

STEP 1
Search for the best set of schools in your field: There are numerous prestigious schools around the world, but each is known for the quality of students it produces (in a particular discipline or more).
Now, before choosing an institution that you want to invest your precious time and money into, you should crosscheck it to know if it really worth it. Go on the internet, and then research about its exploit in your field. A website such as https://www.usnews.com is a good tool.

Step 2
Check the cost: There is this saying, “Soup wey sweet, na money kill am.” Meaning, something good costs money. The next thing after listing out the schools that are in line with your goal is to check the tuition to see if you are capable of affording them. If you can’t, there is option of financial aid, especially if you have good academic qualifications. Contact financial aid immediately! Inquire!

STEP 3
Check and confirm you meet each of the school’s academic qualification: This is quite straightforward. Visit the school’s admission eligibility page to see if you meet its admission requirements. Don’t waste application fee!

STEP 4
Apply: You are wondering if it is that simple? Of course, yes, it is as simple as that. Go ahead and apply to that school of your interest, and then follow up with the undergraduate or graduate admission office via phone call or email.

I have taken out of my valuable time to write this short piece, in order to guide someone out there, and I hope you will find this useful.

I wish that somebody a good kind of luck.
