Hello leaders, I would like to seek your advice on my career that I'm about to embark on.
Im 26, and currently thinking of quitting my current job of 85k to go into I.T fully.
I have no knowledge about I. T and know nothing about programming and the rest.
I want to get a laptop and go to an IT school in ibadan to start learning cyber security.
Kindly advice me like a brother, how I should go about it, what I need to do, I. T course that I can find pleasure in and become something big. Thank you all

Don't do it because you saw someone in a particular field earning much money

Channel that your salary to investments

Diversify your income

Find out what you're good at and Excel at it

Just make sure you have enough savings and your brain is shaped in a way you won't get bored learning new stuff

Successful career in Tech boils down to you being patient enough to learn while not getting paid at first.

Generally anyone who went to university and graduated have a chance at succeeding in one of the many areas of Tech.... either as main founder of a tech company or as an employee ... because if u can spend more than 4 years in school, then you should be able to spend 1-2 years to be employable after learning a new tech skill .

Don't quit it job. U can still do both.

You will need the job to finance your IT journey.

U will need money alot to make it in IT, and the jobs may not come easily. They employ dev with three years exp.

For eg, u will need money to pay some job placement comps for yanke, etc. You will need premium accounts, lots of data, etc.

Wat if ur api com spoil or charger blow or them theif am. That may be d end of your journey.
