Carnegie Mellon University has refused to fire a professor who posted a vile tweet in the hours before Queen Elizabeth II passed, calling for the late monarch to suffer an 'excruciating death.' Carnegie Mellon said in a statement that they do not condone Uju Anya's inflammatory tweet, but also refused to fire her as she was participating in 'free expression.' 'We do not condone the offensive and objectionable messages posted by Uju Anya today on her social media account,' the university's said in a statement posted to Twitter Thursday evening. 'Free expression is core to the mission of higher education,' they said, indicating Anya would not see consequences for her tweet. 'However, the views she shared absolutely do not represent the values of the institution, nor the standards of discourse we seek to foster,' they concluded. In her controversial tweet - now deleted by the social media platform - the Nigerian-born professor wrote: 'I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating.' Anya is a self-proclaimed 'anti racist' associate professor at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She sparked outrage after calling the Queen the head of a 'thieving, raping, genocidal empire.' 'If anyone expects me to express anything but disdain for the monarch who supervised a government that sponsored the genocide that massacred and displaced half my family and the consequences of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can keep wishing upon a star. 'That wretched woman and her bloodthirsty throne have f***** generations of my ancestors on both sides of the family, and she supervised a government that sponsored the genocide my parents and siblings survived. May she die in agony.' Twitter later removed the posts for violating their rules. Her appalling sentiment, shared as the Queen was in her final hours, has ignited a firestorm of anger, and cast a light on previous attempts by hundreds of people to get the outspoken academic fired from her teaching job for violent and racist words. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11197269/Carnegie-Mellon-REFUSES-fire-professor-posted-hopes-Queen-dies-excruciating-death.html 4 Likes 1 Share

See this is why we have survived over the years, we don't lick peoples ass. We rather prove ourselves and earn whatever we get. For those that don't know, her school is an Ivy League school in the class of Harvard and Princeton. If the school refused to fire her then she is very valuable to them. We don't celebrate quota system. This is a true Ada igbo 31 Likes 3 Shares |

But they will fire someone for refusing to abide by their latest gender pronoun decree. Well, all Universities and Colleges have Jewish Marxist running it. She is what they call a useful idiot and unfortunately, Igbo Marxism has graduated to full blown Zionism and we see how the Jews prefer them as their willing tools. God help the Igbo if they think that they can start another rubbish for Judas in Nigeria just as they destroyed this nation of ours in 1966. 1 Like |

It is freedom of expression I guess. Why should they fire her for that? Just like I can say Ojuku of cursed memory brought hardship and death upon his people for fighting a war he cannot win because his kin gene is wired to foolishly act first without thinking. He foolishly thought the French will help him win the war and set up millions of Ibo children for Kwashikor all in a bid to curry sympathy from the same international community this Uju lady is fighting against. Mazi Kanu the fugitive spent most of his days in the same England that killed his people and countless Biafrans are escaping Nigeria daily to live in England, USA, and other Western countries. Only a foolish person will say she’s fighting against her oppressor while still living willingly under the same oppressor. Nairaland mods, I’m also expressing my freedom of speech. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Now they have seen what President Buhari has been tolerating. They are welcome to the club. Bigots and hate-filled folks like uju from same Igboland used far more profane words on Buhari and Wike before Buhari and Wike said " Enough is Enough" then used the language they understand on them to rein them in. It will never stop unless parents in Igboland are compelled to do their homework and raise their children well to love others not hate and not to destroy others as Prof Soludo insisted. The Yoruba, Ikwere, Ijaw, Hausa, Fulani, British, SA, Americans, Indians, Ghanaians, Kenyans etc and the whole world can not be against just the Igbo, it is impossible yet some Igbo youths have been so horribly indoctrinated with this unfortunate victim mentality. There is something fundamentally wrong with how the young minds in the SE are moulded as stated by Prof Soludo and it is from the home! The SE media has a critical role to play to take this message of Prof Soludo to every nook and cranny. 1 Like 1 Share

I said it. She is just one of many useless PhD lecturers offering totally useless woke courses that will only see to any idiot taking her course ending up with an unrepayable student loan. From her School's website Dr. Uju Anya is a university professor and researcher in applied linguistics, critical sociolinguistics, and critical discourse studies primarily examining race, gender, sexual, and social class identities in new language learning through the experiences of African American students. Her other areas of inquiry include applied linguistics as a practice of social justice and translanguaging in world language pedagogy. . She currently teaches and conducts research as associate professor of second language acquisition at the Carnegie Mellon University Department of Modern Languages She is as woke as they come. Because of her type many STEM Professors have quit the Ivy league schools in preference for obscure Christian schools. 1 Like |

Whiteangel1234: OSU, the British you so much vilify are the ones who put a halt to the Jewish slave trade which your ancestors formed the bulk of traded commodities. That same British colonialists put an end to the Arochukwu slaving cult that was behind the slave raiding and supply of Igbo slaves to middle men in the Niger Delta. Contrary to that idiot, Reno Omokri, we in the Niger Delta including Reno's Itsekiri tribe did not engage in slave raiding. We depended on your Arochukwu cult of heathen slavers to capture and sell to us their own brethren which we passed to the Jewish merchants at a premium. The few unfortunate wretches we sold from our side to the Jews were criminals that would have been captured by other tribes if we had them banished so instead we kukuma sell them. As you know the British fought a long drawn out war to uproot the cannibalistic heathen Arochukwu slavers who fought the British not because they opposed colonization but because of the end of slave trade the British brought about. Without the intervention of the British, Nigeria would have been a very dangerous and different place from what we have today The years 1914 to 1960 were the most peaceful and prosperous years this nation has ever witnessed . The British put an end to the marauding Fulani hordes to the north, ended the soave trade and negotiated an end to the Kiriji wars to the south and most importantly led you in the east out like frightened children into the open. Be grateful. 1 Like |

Why would the fire her? For expressing her view about the Queen, the British monarchy and the British empire? The only way they would have fired her is if she had said something false about the the British monarchy |
