I need advice. I got an admission for masters in the UK, applied for visa for myself and my kids alone as my husband is working in China, and just plans to come visit us occasionally. We got a response from ukvi, that either both parents are/should apply at the same time or I should declare sole responsibility for the kids. My fear now is, if I declare sole responsibility, would it not affect a future something? Anybody with somewhat similar experience? Any advice on how to go about this please?

Your husband can apply from China as your dependant along with the kids.
No exceptional documentations besides your marriage certificate, pictures and stuff. Consent letter for bank statement and your children birth certificate. He'll go ahead to schedule a biometric at the Consulate there.

To all of us that applied for January intake keep checking. Some universities have being giving conditional offer since August. I got conditional offer from ARU and Shellfield since August. Just make sure you keep checking your mail and keep praying to God.

who will take care of the kids while you are at school? They ordinarily can not allow such scenario until you explain the compelling reasons why father will not come together to UK with you.
Make arrangements for who will look after them and provide evidence if your husband will not be applying

If you look back at the thread there has been issues like this raised before

To respond 1. You can't declare sole responsibility, it's the court that will declare that , and that will be a legally binding documents (either in separation or divorce)

2. You can provide compelling reasons why you are applying alone with the kids. Compelling reasons are things like physical disabilities or mental health not distance or jobs

3. Best bet , the kids may be refused and then they will reapply with your husband, he can apply from any location

I think your husband should apply as your dependant. He doesn't have to stay in the UK with you.

Start from that point, narrow down your course of choice, see the qualifications and documents required and hit the apply button

It will be ideal to do so and possibly provide rent agreement in addition to your BRP and passport etc from your end

He also needs to include details of where he will stay and also closest post office to collect his BRP.

If you can't then I assume it should be okay,

Incase you get an NSF on this you may wish to collect a letter from your relation saying they are happy to accommodate you

I paid the deposit fee with the Western Union Globalpay on their site, which you can't see their school account details but a link that will pop-up University of Greenwich to select and complete your transaction.

The payment was made through a friend in foreign currency £.

I think using Form A, requires some documents, in which school account number and invoice are required.
Where the problem lies is no account details was given on the unconditional offer and not even on their site.

I think the Western Union Globalpay saves you from the stress of Form A headache. In as much the payment goes through, the school acknowledges the payment, and you pay in your local currency.

The Western Union will likely use the CBN exchange rate to convert from Pounds to Naira. Try and do it yourself to confirm that there is no much difference (you don’t need to make the payment to confirm).

have they escalate your application if not try do another paid mail today May it clear your application is over 21 working days.

Who's going to ARU? If anyone, please did they give you an agent to assist you? And did you fill a form sent by the agent? How helpful was the agent?.

How did you pay deposit fee?

Yes you can but make sure you also contact your bank assigned account officer (who should be tracking progress for you) on the proposed change. This is necessary in case your application has already been presented for the spot trading session

No NSF, nothing. They escalated and said it will be resolved within 15 working days. When I called, they said it is awaiting decision. No empathy in their voice, nothing. Its quite sad. I think they've abandoned standard applicants and are only focusing on priority.

Exactly ....may be the UKVI folks has discovered the rented POF and delaying on purpose to cause hardship to those who rented theirs

I did biometrics on the 4th of September (priority) but my application hasn't moved from DMC since the 6th. I got an empty NSF on the 7th and I haven't gotten any mail since then. Please what do you suggest I do at this stage? Thanks
