How is Saskatchewan?? I hope to meet you there next year.

Regards
Nabby2603:
I'm so sorry you had/ have to deal with such toxic people.
My few cents
1) They can chose to move to Canada with or without your hubby 's input ,so don't say a word about them relocating
2) Express your displeasure to your hubby about the abuse you went through in their hands, and let him know you will not hesitate to take actions against them if they don't reset their brains before coming over.
3) Safe / transfer every evidence you have against them to cloud or where your hubby can't have access to it, you might need it some day to build a strong case against them. Abuse especially against children is not taken lightly here in Canada.
4) set the boundaries now ,not when they arrive Canada o, seat your hubby down and tell him you will call / report to the cops if they threaten your life when they arrive
5) Pray and draw strength from God
6) Get back into practice, make your money, get that financial security.
P.s If you need a female doctor from Nigeria to talk to, kindly reach out. I'm in Saskatchewan though.
Have a great weekend.

quote author=DrFareedah post=116090694]Hello everyone, I've been following this thread for the past five years. But i was forced to create an account just now. My husband and I landed in Halifax three months ago. With a set a twin girls. Making us a family of four.

I had a good job in nigeria, was working as a gynae with a big hospital on the island. However, i was forced to work on relocation because of very toxic inlaws. I can't explain it in words. I've got a deep story to tell. Just one of which is, after giving birth to the girls, my mother in law left the annoyance that I am maltreating her 8 days post partum. She said I didn't cook for her and all that. Bare in mind I had a caeserian session to birth the girls, I was recovering and I couldn't do much. She gossiped and said all sorts with her four girls but i was not bothered, I just decided to run far by coming to canada.

My issue now is they all insist on coming to canada to live with their brother. He's the only son and as such i think he owes them so much, I dont understand yoruba tradition deeply. But I'm here asking everyone to help because once they step into this country, our marraige is over. They tried to ruin it in lagos, but i was very patient. his siblings said they hate my children. Hubby's mom said sometimes she just feels like slapping my children and they turn deaf (they are just 3), Pls what do I do next. I'm exhausted. I hate drama. Cant families just let young couple be. Why do they want to be in our business so much? My hubby isn't seeing it as an issue yet, offcourse he hasn't done the leave/cleave thing.
I have some recordings of their threats towarda me. I just dont want anything to happen to my kids. I dont want them here at all. Please people should chip in their one cent.

I know some guys that brought Indomie without issues but not sure if this was Chicken, You can reserve that space for other food items like Ogbono and the likes that are pricey in African stores. You will get indomie cheap in African stores. I buy a carton for 20 dollars.

I came in with almost all the "so called " contrabands, most of the time they don't check it here, they have a whole lot to do and most times they leave the luggages at the baggage claim. At times they check the luggages when it's way more than 32kg.

Yes I brought meat (dried goat meats and ponmo) I brought chicken flv noodles, I even came in with chicken flavor Maggie cubes.

Some people will attribute it to luck, maybe, maybe not . But there are quite a number of people that brought in all these things and they don't have their bags checked. The main hurdle is leaving 9ja with these things. Canada only check bags randomly.

Yes, I agree, those checks are random selection. Mostly, bags would have already been screened at the point of dismemberment from the plane even before you see your luggage at baggage claim. I guess you are lucky your meat was not detected.

Items are prohibited for some reasons.

The fact that they didn’t check or detect yours or others, should not be a basis for others to flagrantly disobey rules.

Let’s mind what we post on forums where people come for information.

Yes true. I completely agree with u. However, what I meant by the "so called contrabands" are, some of the things we termed contrabands but aren't really . Dry meats, noodles (with or without chicken flavours) are allowed naturally but dried chickens, palm oils, and some perishables, etc are not.

So no, im not preaching that we bring in contrabands.

Anyways, we should use our discretion - that's my message.

Hello everyone,

Please I will appreciate an assistance with a matter that I have been pondering on all day.

I am still here in Nigeria tho and there is this agent who a friend introduced me to. My friend happens to know someone in the UK who he chatted with that he is interested in relocating and she shared a contact with him. She told my friend that she got to the UK through the same agent. She said he doesn’t process UK for now tho that he can help with Canadian Sponsorship Visa and all he has to do is get a form from him first and then follow the steps.

Since I have my passport ready, I decided to reach out to the agent too. I paid for my form and did a lot which includes a statement of account for funds confirmation.

Now since everything was accepted, a text was sent to me from Canada Emb on an appointment date at Abuja which will be in about 2 weeks time from now.

I was scheduled so I decided to ask the agent for things I am meant to bring along with and he then immediately, he sent a text to me. I will paste it here so maybe someone with more experience can help me out because I have not done this before and I don’t know how true it is.

For better explanation, I will paste the message I got from the agent after I received a text from Canada Emb.

I have my doubts tho but please how real is this NON APPEARANCE thing?

“Good morning, I will advise you do non apperance, For non apperance you will not be interview before your visa will be issue, I can direct you to our office in Lagos if you prefer or you can visit our office in Abuja. You will do your biometric and then submit your international passport and your Sponsorship visa will be issue without interview.
Then with DHL, we will send it to you
NON APPEARANCE fee is fifty thousand naira only.

Thanks.”

I got this and I have been thinking how real it is to travel without going to the Embassy.

Someone should please help me here with an opinion.

Thanks in anticipation.

scam scam scam. Canada does not do visa interview. I think these agents need to be rounded up and fed to hungry zoo animals. No matter what we say about these agents gullible Nigerians will still fall. Shame
