A strong Obi campaign pays Tinubu while Atiku will benefit more from a weakening of the Obi movement.

You get the logic. Its in Tinubus interest to continue gingering Obidients and making them and their pricipal believe that they actually stand a chance of winning or getting into a runoff. Otherwise, If Obi campaign stutters and he feels he cant win, his supporters naturally go to Atiku. That is the easiest win for Atiku

If you notice all PDP handles Deji Reno are attacking Obi because he is the one blocking them not Tinubu.

There are different parts of middle belt. The politics of Benue and Plateau is different than Kwara and Kogi and different from Niger and Nassarawa

Benue and Plateau are predominantly Xtian, Kwara and Niger are predominantly Moslems, while Kogi and Nasarawa are almost even though slight advantage to Moslems

I expect Obi to be popular in Benue and Plateau and not popular in Kwara and Niger
