ugoonuoha:I think amazon as a company aren't bringing drivers onboard, but they saddle the responsibilities on Partner Delivery Service Providers...... The one I know of is around Humberside/Yorkshire. MDSL by name, they and others are currently recruiting for that region, but I'm sure there will be one close to your region, Doncaster maybe(I'm not familiar with them regions). You get the van, mobile phone and fuel card, all you just need is your driving skills.(somebody got to deliver those increasing high demand of parcels you know) 1 Like |

ugoonuoha: You didn’t mention your budget. In addition to other suggestions, you might also want to consider East London and Essex towns on the C2C line. Barking, Dagenham, Rainham, Purfleet, Grays Tilbury, South Ockendon, Chafford hundred, Aveley, Basildon etc. You should get an apartment to your spec for £1.1 to £1.3 per month in some of these areas. Travel time to central London is 35 mins on this line from Grays of course excluding. time from your house to the train station. Thamesmead, Erith, Dartford, Gravesend, Greenhithe, SevenOaks are also very good options in Kent with good transport links into central London. Lastly, if you have kids you’ll want to also consider an area with good schools more strongly than your transit time. 7 Likes 1 Share |

ugoonuoha: @ugoonuoha There are a lot of new builds around the strood/rochester/chatham area of Kent going for around 1k - 1k4 (2bed). The commute time is between 37 -45 mins to central london. 2 Likes |

Phenmeson: Welcome to the United Kingdom's mortgage regime...... Better grab the mortgage, make your 25 years start to count ....... You can also remortgage, when your deal is up ....... Or get another mortgage quote from other lenders..... Fixed rate vs variable rate mortgages........ That house wey you dey rent so, you are paying your landlords mortgage........ RENT MONEY, is DEAD MONEY...... babajeje123: you need to book first on the gov.uk website with any date available, then use any of the apps ( driving test cancellations or Testi driving test cancellation) to get a closer dates. Ensure you have a driving instructor that is willing to take you for the driving test in the shortest notice if you get a closer booking date from any of the apps. Cheers! 5 Likes 6 Shares |

WhiteWolfe:Difficult. Are you on a work or student visa? What can you afford and are you willing to pay 3-6 months rent in advance? Do you have anyone in Manchester that can start viewing houses for you before you arrive? All those will determine how soon you can get a place. 3 Likes |

Lexusgs430: This oppression is too much oooo. How can one family be so privileged like that . If Harry knows what is good for him, he better make amends and go back..... See my slaving here and taxed to the max and anything I leave for my kids will still be taxed( double tax) . Yet one rule for us another for one family. How can that not be oppression. Lol 1 Like |

Book the test for February 2023 and keep checking for earlier dates. For one of the bookings I made a few weeks ago, it was initially a Feb 2023 date at a far-away centre. Kept checking and was eventually able to get another date in Nov, then Oct and then Sept a week before the test date. So keep checking - new dates are released at 6am every Monday; mostly dates 5-6 months in the future but a few are within 3 months. On other days and at random times, closer dates are released. You can also use the "Driving test now" (costs £17.99) or "Testi" (costs £5-7) apps. These apps brought cancellation notifications but were mostly unable to book. Driving test now will refund you if you aren't able to find and book an earlier date with their app. babajeje123: 3 Likes 6 Shares |

Good Afternoon Please, I need an advice on this issue. I'll be travelling to the UK with my family, my husband and daughter. Initially, we applied for a 2 year course to buy time since I'll go first and they'll come join me later, like after 1 year or less. To avoid any form of issues around their visa applications when they're eventually ready, we decided to process all our visas together. Then we all travel together for like a month so they can get their BRPs and then travel back to Nigeria. Now, we're thinking, is there still a need for a 2 year course? Again, the fact that they are not physically here, will it affect anything in anyway? Like, when we want to apply for PSWV, will this cause any issue? They'll definitely come over before the end of my course, but I'll be close to finishing. Please, I want to be certain before we take any step in that regard. has anyone gone through anything similar? |
