I have been to 17 state capitals and Lokoja is surely the worst.

Lokoja looks like a local government headquarters. From Ganaja to Felele through Ibrahim Taiwo is just a slum town. Half of the residents don't have toilets in their houses and they make use of River Niger for defecation.

The town can be very hot too with extreme humidity. I lived there in 2011 during my service year and it felt like hell. Mount Patti was the only nice thing about the town.

Don't say what you don't know. In the north, minna city can easily be mentioned in the top 5 beautiful cities in the region. What I think the city lacks is commercial activities and the water problem. Because even when boreholes are dig, it gets to a point that the borehole stops working; I don't know, maybe is because the city is on a rock or something.

But Minna is beautiful in its own right even though their current governor should be the worst governor in Nigeria.

Gusau is a joke compared to Minna. Just try visiting and you will be shocked to even comprehend that two pass presidents actually came from that place

Lol.. I was born and bred in Minna. So you see. If you say Minna is not commercial I will agree with you. But the town is not bad and it's still developing but Minna is not commercial at all..

If you want to live a quite and low key life then Minna is for you.

I haven't been to Gusau but I doubt if it outplays Minna.

Bros, I lived, schooled and currently stay in Minna and I can tell you that in the 20 plus years I have been there, the place refused developing even after the like of A. A Kure and Talban Muazu Aliyu were there. As we speak , the town is a hamlet and the only place that might be slightly worse than it would be the capital of Jigawa

In as much that you wouldn't like to admit this the truth still remains that the state is developing. The pace at which that is happening is what I think is the issue.

Because prior to last year or last two years the state cannot boast of a major eatery now they have 2 I'm sure you know them. Plus other business are gradually springing up.

The problem is most people (indigene) of the state are mostly Civil servants and farmers therefore there's less circulation of money in the state that's why the state seems stunted.
