odimbannamdi: It's around 800 to 1 milla for the ones with lithium battery. The one with lead acid battery is 400k but it's of less quality and different designs and lack trafficators. First one can be bought in Victoria Island the second on in Alaba. Plus there are many types of designs. You can Google search CITYCOCO. 1 Like |

This is my present "Do it yourself" Setup. I had the 4x 12v 220A Tubular Batteries with Zinox iPower Plus 3kva (PWM Hybrid), 8x 360W Solar Panels, 60A Felicity Charge Controller. Everything worked well until the Battery seller cam to top up the electrolyte on the batteries, then I started getting less than 6hrs backup time as compared to12hrs I sued to have with about 2kVA total load. So I vexed and upgraded everything. I removed the iPower 3kva, 60A Felicity Charge Controller and replaced them with Felicity 5KVA Hybrid 100A inbuilt MPPT & 500v PV Input while retaining my 8pcs of 360w panels (rearranged them in Series this time) and 4pcs of 12v 220A Tubular Batteries. But because I am aiming to go off-grid, I vexed again and bought another Felicity 5KVA Hybrid 100A inbuilt MPPT & 500v PV Input, 2pcs of Felicity 9.5KW LiFePo4, 10pcs of Felicity 540W Solar Panels (Connected in series). So I introduced a small 20A Contactor which is engerized by the Inverter with the LiFePo4 Batteries but only when the dry contact on the Inverter With the Tubular batteries signals Low battery and closes. My aim: The tubular Batteries will charge and backup during the day, while it will not last through the night it will signal low battery and the loads will be transfered to the LiFePo4 Inverter (you will not even notice the switching process) and everything is alright till sunrise when the batteries resumes charging again and the loop continues. One good thing about this very model of Felicity (IVEM) is that it works without batteries too. So if your nepa is too bad, you can grab panels and this model and start enjoying daytime power first befor you save up money to buy batteries. Abeg I need the professionals here to spot things I should do to maximize my experiense with this my setup. 10 Likes 1 Share

toyeoye: I have very busy on a very big project, but my workload has lightened, will give you full information this weekend. So so sorry for the delay. @toyeoye, I have updated this post with more information for you. I am currently using Quanta Amaron SMF batteries. I am currently using a Schneider Inverter 1.5KVA. I bought 2 of those. After I bought the Quanta, I got to know of Deka and wished to get Deka next time. That was because I was introduced to Lithium batteries, I am yet to do the research to determine which brand of Lithium battery to go for. I hope that helps. I currently don't have solar panels, I charge with the grid or my generator. I plan to install solar panels before the month runs out. I will be buying either 4 No. 300W or 2 No. 500W per inverter. I picked Schneider because of the abundance of information on their website and that they had a directory of distributors/resellers in Nigeria. If you need more information, ask and I will not hesitate to provide |

FEGEITOK: this is the new normal cars are moving to subscription package did you read about how you have to pay monthly fee for heated bmw seats? and if you sell your tesla to someone else, the person has to start paying his own subscription for features in the car its a real mess - microtransactions coming to actual hardware it will get to the point where end users will start blocking the internet from their cars i had read about hp printer nonsense, then i experienced it. my printer refused to use a cartridge because the cartridge was older than a year. i had to overwrite the update, and block auto updating this is the world we are going to. 4 Likes |

GloriousGbola: I am aware of the BMW heated seats subscription. Sometimes new is not always better. Some new cars are deliberately made harder to fix DIY so you can go to the dealer for service |

FEGEITOK: yep - the great right to repair the new macbooks, you cant even switch out the ssds - they use a proprietary drive with the controller on in the cpu, not on the ssd. even worse, it seems the configuration is such that adding a second ssd, necessitates a full wipe of the system. as for apples older devices this was a gem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdwDvz47lNw not sure i can see myself buying apple - with the deliberate implementation of anti DIY 2 Likes |
