Please I have a question for those who travel often in and out of the country. I will be going to Singapore in the 26th of Sept for 5 days and I intend to buy some of the new IPhone 14s when coming back. I will walk into official Apple store and pay cash. I want to know if there is any chance of having issues with immigration/customs at any of the airports (Singapore, Doha or Nigeria). Just like 6 or 7 Phones. I will obviously have my proof of purchase and they will be inside my luggage. Do they give issues in such cases please or I am good to go? Thanks |

sethtsadopp: The only problem will be Nigerian customs if they see the phones. They will be expecting bribe or they will expect you to pay customs duty since it is more than one. What you can do is to wrap it in one of your clothes then hide it in your carryon bag. Don’t put the phones in your checked bag because you will not see the phones when you get to Nigeria. The airport rats will remove it if you do. |

Ashirioluwa: Thanks for the Solid advice. My fear came after reading this https://guardian.ng/business-services/imported-personal-item-above-n50000-attracts-duty-says-customs/ By the way, is it that they don't check the carry on/hand luggage? |

nasire: This particular mail looks more familiar. Some people get it as an automated response once it’s received at the DMC lately. As for the initial one I haven’t seen it before, perhaps that came after a paid mail. 1 Like |

I suggest you should try and settle whatever is between you because you need documentation only him can provide as proof of been there father, like you'll need his British passport data page, residential address and work etc Oceandrive: 2 Likes |

I’m just seeing people going to pick up their passports and I’m still waiting 11 weeks after biometrics and 3 weeks after decision mail. I’ve sent paid mails and made paid calls. I’ve sent free mails to TSL and they are saying that they haven’t been advised on a decision. At this point I am fed up. House, would it be wise to seek legal action because I have to travel by the end of this month. I even had an exam that needed my passport earlier this week but I got it postponed. The delay will cost me a lot of money. WilsonBright935: |

Good morning Nairalanders. I got this email yesterday. How long would it take for me to get a mail from TLS after this email below? I didn't get a mail to know if the visa was approved or refused. What could be the likely decision? Dear.. Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre. With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, our records indicate a decision has been made on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone. If your visa has been granted, a visa vignette (sticker) will be stuck inside your passport with 3 months validity (from the start of your visa) to travel. You will be contacted by VFS/TLS when your passport is ready for collection, or delivery of your passport. Please do not attend the VAC until you have been contacted as you won’t be able to collect your passport until it is ready. We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents. Please note the information given to you on the progress of an application is dependent on the details you provide, and we can only provide the progress updates based on the application reference number given. We do not have access to specific case information and so progress updates could be subject to change. Please wait for formal contact or a decision letter before taking any further steps. |

Oceandrive: If your kids were born after he acquired British citizenship, then they are automatically citizens. Their father just need to push their documentation and get them the British passport. As advised earlier by someone else, discuss with their father, if not for you own benefit but for the children. 1 Like |
