the interesting thing though is that it is probably being done in conjunction with some people in the vicinity.

otherwise someone will capture them on camera when the removal is going on.

If you haven't started supporting Peter Obi.

I bet my life that this video will convert you automatically.

When you see people carrying Peter Obi matter for head, when you see all Nigerians both online and offline rallying behind this man and you're curious why this is is so and what is happening, this 2 minutes video here serves as a window into the mind of why Nigerians believe there have seen a very credible alternative.

Amoto94, nihilist, reccy, oasis007 etc. Please do well to just click on this and be impressed.

Is it not when you are present that you'll witness the removal?

If you walk around by 2am, you'll probably be scared to bring out your phone, talk more of capturing thugs removing a sign post.

The fight is not a fair one, tbh.

What makes this tribalism more comical is the fact that

The Yorubas feel they should rally around Tinubu

The Igbos feel they must rally around Obi

And these two tribes are expecting the Northerners to rally around any of them, as if they don't have Atiku there.

Anyway, ah don watch am. The analogue he used is good and can also cut waste but can he go against cabals in different sectors?

Some of these are also backed by laws and many litigations here and there will really slow down any policies he will really wish to implement...

Kudos to him if he has the political will to do that!!!

Let me continue my prayers grin grin grin

We.discussed about this sometime ago now; remeber when we talked about Yaba and its environs with so one-way roads. We all agreed Naija is a jungle where the powerful prey on the weak ( In this case the powerful are the traffic officers who work in cahoot with their thugs who probably removed those signs while the weak are road users like me and you)

To be on the safer side one needs to ask people who are familiar with those routes before driving to such places.

The moment u are arrested and Ur vehicle impounded, whichever court u are taken to nobody there will care to know how u ended on the wrong side of the law. Just look at Rufai's case, I'm sure some army officers, navy officers, police officers etc passed that same BRT Lane that very day but nobody cares.....The moment their net caught big fish like Rufai God Don answer their prayer be that.

People are really dense

Of the 15% that will vote, Obi will have 68% in SE but Tinubu will only have 18% in SW

Dense people. Very dense infact

Hehe. The tribal bias for each candidate has been glaring which is why I'm amused that Agbadomen think Northerners will not turn up for Atiku

Unfortunately confiscation vehicles of offenders who drive against traffic is legal in Lagos State. Driving against traffic attarcats imprisonment and forfeiture of the vehicle to the government while other less serious traffic offences attract lesser punishment.

Why anyone will support such draconian law is beyond me. In saner climes LASG would be sued

Shebi na wetin I tell Don J that day be this. The election has enough ethnic colouration. I'm Yoruba and I've met quite a handful of Yorubas who stated it clearly that they will vote for Tinubu simply because they are Yorubas and won't vote the somebody from another tribe.

I've seen enough Igbos too who were not interested in the presidential elections up till this year. Some may say they are voting Obi because he is the hope of the common man,but we know by now he will win most ( if not all) southeastern bloc votes.

It's just going to be a case of most people queing behind their tribesmen. Initially I thought this election will be different but it seems it will even get worse this time around with the 3 major tribes having a man on the ballot.

Personally I believe the government made a show of out of the anguish of offenders losing their vehicles just to deter prospective one-way traffic offenders.

Imagine a vehicle driving against traffic on somewhere like third mainland bridge. One motorist is endangering the lives of hundreds of road users. I believe the punishment matches the gravity of the offence.

What does forfeiture of vehicle mean? Impounding to pay a fine or they just sell

These people whose cars were auctioned, Did they give them a fine to pay and they refused to pay before the auction? or just impound and auction straight?

Maybe they assumed the person driving against traffic is not normal and should not be driving a car to start with or even own a car

Lemme ask if the offender is just an employed driver what will happen

According to what I gathered, not all the offenders are one-way offenders. Those that are one-way offenders have their punishment well spelt out ; one year imprisonment and forfeiture of the vehicle to the government. So the government after prosecuting them for the crime went ahead to auction the forfeited vehicles.

The other offenders whose vehicles were impounded for lesser offences didn't show up for the court case, neither did they pay the fine awarded by the courts after prosecution. So the government auctioned their vehicles as well after they failed to show up within the stipulated time as pronounced by the courts.

Two things are involved :

1. The driver will most likely have his employment terminated by his employers.

2. If the company is aware of the auction they will send their procurement guys to do everything possible to win the bid and buy back the car for the company. grin

However, if the organization is not a nice one they will send the driver to multiple prisons after he must have served LASG's jail term ; his guarantor too will most likely not be spared by the company.
