The problem is there is bias in the system. Selection is not strictly by merit. NFF will only hire coaches that will allow them to interfere. When Peseiro learns his lessons and wants to put his foot on the ground it would be too late. TheSuperNerd: |

Rodgers should not be allowed to even reach the conference room before he is sacked. Romancing relegation this early in the season 1 Like |

Bruno Soporuchukwu Onyemaechi starts his 4th League game for Boavista in Portugal's Primeira Liga Bwin vs Sporting Lisbon CP in Matchday 7 action. Game on in 17mins. Meanwhile, Zaidu and Porto just finished playing out a 1-1 draw away at Estoril in Matchday 7 action as well. Zaidu played a good 82mins. 2 Likes 2 Shares

Samueltemi337: Well, this wouldn't be putting things in context. Rodgers has spent over 200M as coach of Leicester on transfers, for a mid-range club like Leicester that's some money. Yes they didn't sign this season but he's been supported previously and his signings haven't really lived up to expectations 3 Likes 1 Share |

Ndidi is being harshly criticized. Very harshly. John Evans made a terrible pass option. Ndidi was in a sea of Tottenham players and his teammates created no passing lines for him. They got their positioning wrong.

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 4:59am On Sep 18, 2022 |
Ndidi should not let the episode stress him. He can easily fix what Happened and learn from the error. He should know as DM, do not dwell too long on the ball. Watch, watch, watch. Especially before anyone gives the pass to know if you are under pressure and to make quick passing decision. He should build his watching and make fast passing decisions. Ndidi should watch lots of Rodri tapes. Study his quick decisions and he will improve on it. Brush it off lad. There are more games to prove yourself. |

TheGoodJoe: On the flip side, it's likely Conte prepared his team to press Ndidi in a tight area to cut of his passing options knowing full well he has limited ball playing skils. I have hardly seen Ndidi dribble his way out of a tight press. 1 Like |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 6:20am On Sep 18, 2022 |
caprikon: I don't think it is just about Ndidi alone but pressing strategy as a whole. The Tottenham team in the above position was set up to press the ball and deny the team passing options. And yes, someone more in-depth in the deep passing game would have had a better chance of making better use of the position. It does not nullify the fact that Ndidi had limited chances to pass due to the poor positioning of the Leicester players. It was atrocious build up playing structure and Ndidi should not shoulder most of the blame. The set-up was poor and the coaching crew should take the blame and stem it out. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by benji93: 6:39am On Sep 18, 2022 |
Please stop this. It's ok to admit Ndidi is indeed limited in his passing range. Don't put this on the positioning of Leicester players. Both can be true independently and be disastrous together. TheGoodJoe: 1 Like |

benji93: I don't understand. That positioning is atrocious. The full back and the other defender should be closer to give Ndidi passing options. It is clear as daylight from the screenshot posted. The coaching crew should sort that out. That is a poor defensive structure for a team under press. Evans passing to Ndidi in such position is clearly asking for trouble. |

elyte89: Ndidi wasted time to release the ball to the next teammate because his teammates were poorly positioned. Put his teammates in the right structure and he will release the pass EARLIER. The playout structure was very poor. |

These are the takes of some guys on Twitter but I am taking it further. The Leicester team in that position looked a team terrible at Build up play and also unprepared for a team that can lose the ball in midfield. As for me, the coaching crew takes the blame.

If Johnny Evans wanted the ball to go to the other defender, then he should have gone to the Goal keeper to find the defender. But, why are they so spread out in such a situation? So Amateurish. 1 Like |
