Hello everyone...please , I need an advice on how best to handle this situation and I will appreciate if anyone can render any help ..please. I bought a trade on Remitano (over 200k) and uploaded receipt , the seller told me he couldn't release trade and he uploaded the error message he got on the disputed trade. There was no support online at that moment so I had to wait. After few minutes,I received a notification that the trade cancelled automatically ..I was surprised but since there was no support online ,I couldn't do much so I had to wait.....till now , nothing has been done coz I was able to see support after like 7 or 8hours later. After several attempts to retrieve the money, I was able to lien the account but no money in that account ... The only information I have is his name and account details and also his phone number. I have not contacted him yet coz I don't want t him to escape or block me online ... What can I do pls |

Shanid: Person wey dey fear too much no suppose do p2p transactions. Next time, use people you know that fund accounts regularly. That said, I have had issues on binance wherein the seller delays payment - what I always do is to contact the seller. If the seller blocks you, you might have to file a matter in court to block his acct if the amount is so critical to you. Acct can be blocked for fraudulent transactions etc-- you can have your lawyer do that for you. Try calling him first, if that fails, we can discuss other solutions like contacting remitano and freezing his acct - my two cents. 1 Like |

Shanid:relax, don't contact him, monitor his account to see when his ad comes up online again and open trade from there Unless you have the strength and will to pursue the case offline by involving the police 1 Like |

Shanid: Bro, you have three options. If you already have a lawyer on retainer, you can ask the lawyer to file the necessary processes to try and recover your money. If you don't have a lawyer on retainer, it will cost you more than 200k to engage one to file a civil suit on your behalf to recover the money. Depending on your jurisdiction and net worth, it can go as far as 600k - 1m or more for a good lawyer to take up your case and even then you go still pay transport fare and other extraneous payments for the case which can run for 1-4 years. The second option which Seankafor mentioned is for you to go to the Police. You can file a complaint there and they'll arrest the guy. You can decide on whether you want the police or Ministry of justice to pursue a criminal case against him OR you can pay the police to apply 'small pressure' on him to release the money. The 'pressure' most times brings out the money. It will cost you less to pursue a criminal matter than a civil matter because it is ministry of justice or the police wey go handle am. You no go pay them professional fees but this is Nigeria, you gats give them sth to pursue your case with full force. The third option you have is to believe that all this is a misunderstanding. Then whatsapp the guy and ask him to send the relevant crypto to you. 1 Like |

phatriqk: Most people wey dey ask this question usually run away from trading after less than a week or blowing their first acct. However, I want to assume that you are serious about learning. If you are, what happened to using YouTube to learn. Downloading books off libgen.is or using scribd or pdf drive. This is the 21st century, if you don't learn how to source for information, ruminate on it and try things out, you won't grow. It is only very rarely you will need to pay for information on how to do things -- you should only pay if you are looking for a certification to help you to get a job. Dana White of UFC once said: "THE UFC is not a career, it is an opportunity". The same thing applies to trading - you need an actual career to support you whilst you trade. There is a reason why some traders have youtube channels and signal groups and educational materials- income in trading can be unreliable. You can have win streaks of 5-20 and have similar losing streaks if you don't know how to stop yourself from plunging over the edge - that's why it is good to only risk 1-2 % of your capital per trade. From looking at YouTube channels alone, you'll find who can teach you sef or know what direction you need to take next. Same thing works with reading books and trying things out on demo and real accts. The era of being spoonfed information like in a classroom is gone. That said, to learn day trading. You need to learn trading psychology, risk mgmt and have an actual trading strategy. That's all you need. You can find this info on youtube free or you can read books. After this , you MUST practice like crazy till you find out what works and what doesn't . Read these books: 1.Three lines forecasting price action by R. Rana, -- get it on libgen.is 2.Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas -- get it from libgen.is 3. Phil Gangluff's smart money forex trading method - search for it on Google. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Shanid:Get enough details about him. Pictures and any information you can get about him, call and chat him up and keep records of your Chats and calls with him. Report to the police. If he does not respond, tarnish his image all over the internet and send links to him. Don't relent. It would be left for him to decide if the money is worth the damage. 3 Likes |

Shanid:This is my fear. To think I plan on buying much more in value so more at risk. I read some sellers’ reviews that stated that they refused to honour trades. Someone lost 2.4 million to one such seller and yet the seller’s account is still active. And people are still patronizing him so I wonder if people read reviews. Nevertheless, for these sellers, their positive reviews outweighs the negative ones. And a number of people have testified to using P2P successfully on this thread especially on binance. To be on the safe side I have decided to ask someone I know in the US to buy via paypal and then transfer the cryptos to me. I no fit shout. |
