If they were using trailer batteries like itel sometimes does no one would be able to compete. At this point, no manufacturers are throwing in revolutionary specs every launch event again, it's just incremental update. I use Samsung and they've managed to take away some specs over the years sef.
You're not expected to get every new iPhone every year or even Samsung. You wait 2-5 year when the incremental updates add up to a lot before upgrading. Smartphones have basically peaked.

Just checked. The Asus ROG phone is said to have better battery life and is 6,000 mAh. The 13/14 Pro iPhones are still much more efficient considering the 14 Pro Max has 4300 mAh.
Most of the other phones are gaming phones with massive batteries.

U should know battery life is not the only spec in a phone that makes a phone good. Camera quality, processing speed and efficiency, and reliability. These make the best phone. The ROG phone is great especially for gaming buh doesn't have as good quality in other aspects such as camera and general elegance.

iPhones do not need DXO mark ratings, just like they've chosen to use their ceramic glass over the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Not getting the "quality" components from known companies does not necessarily mean that they're doing worse.
