The Islamisation of the Hausa people by Fulani (nomads) who have no land was the beginning of their downfall.
I don't really blame their ancestors, all they wanted was a good governance back then. Their kings replaced with Emirs, Sharia law introduced and Islamic schools for further indoctrination of their kids.

The reason why no one is talking in the north is the fear of being prosecuted, they are mostly illiterates so they don't know their history and will rebel against anyone who spoke againt their God.

The Fulani people are happy with this and as long as illiteracy and poverty reigns in that region, the Fulani people will continue to thrive.

It would have been a great combo, I personally do not care about Muslim or Christian tickets, we were Africans before religion, we are black, we are brothers.

How's a Kanuri a "core Hausa man"? You're still confused about northern tribes. The Kanuri are basically the only tribe the foolanis couldn't conquer in northern Nigeria.
