Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the top Igbo sociocultural organization, has urged the federal government to prevent letting Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), pass away while under the care of the Directorate of State Services (DSS).

Following a normal visit to the Department of State Service cell, his brother Emmanuel Kanu and lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor raised the alarm about Kanu’s health condition. They claimed that the DSS has denied the Biafra leader access to his doctors despite the fact that he is in serious condition.
Kanu “is presently afflicted with stomach disease, necessitating the frequent use of antacids and other accessible medical therapies,” according to Ejiofor.

The DSS disallowed him from consuming even the tiniest quantity of a prescribed painkiller, which might have provided him with some relief.
Ohanaeze responded by stating that “Nnamdi Kanu Must Not Die in Prison” and that the report should worry any patriotic Nigerian with a clear head.
