Building collapses this days esp in lagos state, I always feel uncomfortable when working in any construction site esp buildings with plenty floors that I prefer putting my tools out on an open ground and doing my thing there. There are crazy engineers out there

These building were built before Tinubu came onboard in 1999. These were the gains of Lagos from reckless Nigeria's military government of corruption. The gains have become pains. Thanks to our loving and visionary daddy @ABAT for uncommon leadership. The Lagos rebuilding works are ongoing and no 1 billion Osus can stop it.

Developers!!! All these so called estate developers need to be stopped immediately! They're the ones responsible for most collapsed buildings, always trying to cut costs and using quacks instead of paying registered civil engineers for their services...

If you check well, that building probably has no approval to begin with.

Most of the houses built in Mushin were built by a developer and the materials they used in building it were managed..

There was one particular one I tried to rent during the Covid lock down at Alhaji-Ota, it's a renovated face me I face you building that was converted into a room, and a room and parlour self contained bungalow. I paid the sum 450k for the single room self, promise to balance 50k at the completion of the building cos people are already paying since they demolished the old one.(200k for a year, plus agreement and commission which is 100k, and you have to pay for minimum of 2years, making 500k).

Long story short, this foolish developer told us to complete our payment, that the building is 80% ready and they need money to do the remaining work, I was pissed, and I decided to go check the 80% work that has been done, on getting there, I discovered the room was not even up to a standard room as proposed, a shop is far better, the toilet&bath is write off, there's nothing to write about the kitchen, and to top it all, a punch from an unprofessional boxer, will do a great damage to the walls...

Omo, with the speed of light, I requested for my refund, werey dey act up, I sharperly inform my big bro, as the werey hear say na me be him junior bro, my money come out in less than 4days cos him know say him don get problem..but na 420k the werey fit raise... one of the tenants of the building saw me sometime last year and was telling me how they regret paying for that place...

The Engineers are part of these problems together with corrupt authorities. If substandard materials are provided for construction, why not call the owner to order and if he refuses.... report to authorities for him to do the needful. It always seems they can manage, forgetting that buildings are erupted to last for so long.
