I googled as you suggested, Paolo Rossi was 7th. A certain Giuseppe Meazza was rated Italy's greatest ever. My favourite is Baggio anyway

I mentioned Meazza in my first post. He was the main guy when Italy won its first 2 World Cups and the stadium in Milan San Siro is actually the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.

My personal favourite is Baresi.

At this rate, Maguire will have more relegation than trophy by the time he retires.

Man united should release the guy, he probably has a bad luck following him at this point. We will not win a trophy if he's still here.

I remember De gea saying my ast season that we are probably cursed, because we've played some good football even under a shit coach like Ole to warrant at least a trophy minimum.

The standards for good seems to have changed. If you watched the match, it seems just because he didn't make a mistake for the goal doesn't means he was good. He wasn't worse than most of his teammates but I would not describe his performance as good. He was average at best and you can see his lack of confidence on display. Southgate is the worst culprit. He seemed completely clueless. Interesting to see how he does at the world cup because I know they won't sack him.

Seriously did you watch him play? Maradona won the world cup in 1986 and also got to the final in 1990, dominating both tournament. Maradona joined Napoli and turned them into a powerhouse of Italian Football, winning a European cup in the process too. On no planet would anybody rate a one club wonder/system player Messi to Maradona, can Messi win a World Cup completely dominating the tournament the way Maradona did in 1986? Abi na USA 94 chubby Maradona you dey compare to Messi?
Messi played under different managers at barca. Messi has being best player in every tournament he has played, to win trophies still go down to the whole team and not one player. No matter how you see it maradona didn’t win wc alone without the help of the goalkeeper and the rest. Individually, messi has won best player in every tournament you can think of, even to junior level.
