Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is believed to have travelled out of Nigeria to Europe after making some revelations about some stalwarts of his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

DAILY POST gathered that the Governor left the country at midnight on Friday to a yet to be verified country in Europe.

The mission of the Governor in Europe was not immediately known but it is public knowledge that in recent times Wike has been a frequent visitor to London for political reasons.

The Governor, who has been in the eye of the storm over the crisis rocking PDP, made stunning allegations against the national chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu. He alleged that Ayu took N1billion bribe from one of the presidential aspirants for the May 28 PDP convention.

Wike had addressed a televised media chat earlier on Friday in Government House, Port Harcourt, where he opened what can be termed a can of worms.

The Governor is believed to have jetted out of the State in a chartered flight from the Port Harcourt International Airport at about midnight on Friday.

A source in Government House, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the governor’s trip out of the country but could not come clear with the actual destination.

Oga travelled last night around 12 midnight but I can’t say exactly where he is going to,” the source revealed.

Wike our man

The slayer of Northern irredentists who think they are everything in Nigeria.

Wike has helped prove that the north is not the almighty political factor it has always prided itself as being; just that the south has always been their willing tool in their expired game of divide and conquer.

Now, Wike has demonstrated the the north needs the south as much as the south needs the north for there to be any political success in this country.

Long live Wike!

Meanwhile, I advise him not to make the mistake of choosing to work for Tinubu; that would be political suicide.

This is why I dislike you Obi people. Your hypocrisy and evil stink. The same Wike you hate so much because of what he did to your people in Oyigbo; the same Wike you vowed never to have anything to do with; the same Wike you have been demonising has suddenly become your 'saviour' that must be cherished because in your mind, he's headed to your labourer party ?

You have no principle. If the Devil endorses Obi today, you'll canonise him.

Why not learn from Atiku's people? See how they've been distancing themselves from people like Omokri and extremists not minding they're supporting their candidate.

But you Obi people don't care. Your desperation is something else.

In fact, with the way you guys are going about this, if Atiku doesn't win, let Tinubu win.

Do you think if Wike had won the primaries Atiku would be in the country to support him?
Atiku is too selfish to support anyone's presidential ambition. He's been fighting this position for over 30 years, spending money, time and resources. Anybody who thinks he isn't coming to recoup his money plus inestimable interest may have to think again.

I fear for Wike after he leaves office

He is a corrupt thief and that's why he so desperately wants to be part of any new government so EFCC doesn't come for him.

A very shameless individual.

The way these elected governors jet out of their states and country at will is quit disturbing for a so called democratic and progressive nation!

No respect for their offices or regard for the people who elected them!

I have never heard of governors in France, America, Sweden, etc, leaving their offices or states to chill and flex in other nations without proper due process!
