They now make entry as easy as possible and settlement as difficult as possible. The statistics are there openly. More reason why a student should plan well and ready to maximize every tiny bit of loopholes opportunities still left by UKVI multitude of rules

Is it advisable to go check if my visa has arrived TLS?

I'm asking this cuz my bio was on 19th August (standard, VI)
After several calls and mails, I received my brp letter on 20th September indicating that decision was made on 12 September.

But up till now I haven't received any collection mail plus my tracker is still showing that my application is still with DMC.

NB: where I live is very far away from Lagos.

Very tricky question

Since you received your BRP letter just 4days ago and you live far from Lagos.

I will advise you wait till the end of next week and see if you get a collection mail.

This is clearly admin delays

Besides when is your Uni resuming and do they have an update on these delays?

You might even use this period to prep for your trip so you travel immediately once you get to Lagos and pickup your documents

If you don't get an update by the end of next week,you can decide to risk it
