Listening to advice from some Nigerians self is discouraging and pathetic. People are coming to Lagos with lesser amount than that to start and life. Some with hard work have managed to make it out here. They are a lot of opportunities and businesses to start in Lagos with less than 500k, or you think 500k is small money to you? There are a lot of places to live under 200k per annum in Lagos, even under 150k self.

I don't want you to make the mistake i made.
I relocated to PH without knowing someone because i believe there are big opportunity there.
I rented self contained of about 250k including charges.
I went there with hope of getting jobs but 5 months now no job and i have exhausted my money.
I regretted my actions because i wanted to leave my parents house.
Now i am going back to start from square 1.
Keep applying for jobs until you get called up before relocating.
Buy bike of 200k and give out for higher purchase..
Use 200k and start poultry business for xmas.
Save 100k for the running days

Honestly I'd say don't come yet,

Lagos is not welcoming.

You can do something worthwhile with that money where you are. These are my reasons
1, you don't have any relatives, so you need to get a house, a room self in mainland Lagos not around igando or Ogun state oo is around 300k+,

2, food is relatively expensive here, I stayed in the east before coming back to Lagos last year, the food is expensive that what I used to buy in the east especially all these locally processed food.

3, everything na money for Lagos, that house you'd pack in would come with utility bills, even when you no use the utility .

So I'll advice, stay where you are, except something paying you money is bringing you to Lagos

no be small thing. I served in Anambra when the state was paying 8k monthly, I don't know if they still pay till date, even with the 33k and 8k from State what I saved was only 100k. My family benefited from this money right from beginning. I don't know how someone can save up to this amount while serving in this country right now.
