Exmilitant:If nothing, Obj did not "blow" the gulf War oil windfall, he renegotiated and cleared all our foreign debt. Paid over $18b to put us in sound footing. Aboki as usual has come to destroy it all. Those days when we were kids and will want to spend our pocket money anyhow, parents will tell you to save and not be like aboki that will chop all today and Allah will provide for tomorrow! That Obj cleared debt alone is one of the most singular act of drawing Nigerians our of poverty. 1 Like 1 Share |

Exmilitant: You are spewing rubbish because, here is a former president that reduced our Billion Dollars- Debt to Zero.Did you think the West that gave their nod were foolish? But here again, your govt since PDP-GEJ- has accumulated debt to $Trillions without any significant infrastructures on the ground but these debt will be paid at State and Federal level for unknown years! While Obasanjo himself made errors, especially by disown the South West People- as no single road was built just because they opposed his PDP govt, yet his govt then was adjusted one of the best! |

beejay85: If u re not indomine generation u will know it.. “It was under Obasanjo’s watch that Nigerians were defrauded of $16 Billion Dollars meant to fix the country’s power problem, Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo offered the sum of N50m bribe each to members of NASS to secure a third term in office, His administration claimed to have spent over $4 billion in construction and repair of federal roads. This spending claim is completely contrary to the conditions of the roads they claimed to have sunk the money into... Google is ur friend bro.. 2 Likes |

Michelle70: Although he has his low points, Obasanjo did an excellent job in his time. Most of the federal roads, agencies of government, and key power stations were started and completed by Obasanjo. The only challenge of Obasanjo is that there was no social media in his time for ordinary Nigerians to keep records. |

SKYHIGHfx:You're absolutely correct. But our leaders caused it. They're so selfish. That's why I don't like tinubu, even though I'm yoriba. MKO would have been a true unifier but he never got there, sadly. A good reason we're considering obi. 1 Like |

adenigga: The speakers said the right things. But will ethno-religious bigots in two parts of Nigeria now supporting Atiku or Tinubu to lead Nigeria, eschew ethno-religious bigotry in them, to elect Obi-Datti to make Nigeria become better for all of us? It's unimaginable to see how a voter in a progressive country can sideline Obi-Datti, but vote for either Bola Tinubu or Abubakar Atiku. |

Exmilitant: Nigeria has structure problems that enables the area which claims it's the most educationally disasdvantaged region, to largely decide who wins Nigeria's presidential election. The structure problems are from proliferation of 19 states in one region-north, by northern military dictators; but allow only 17 states for 2 regions - east and west - that formed independent Nigeria with the northern region in 1960. Land mass is never used as criterion to proliferate too many new federating units in a region with larger land mass, in a country formed by diverse regions. Using land mass as criterion excessively shifted political power balance to the old Northern region. Obasanjo as president tabled a National Political Reforms Conference, but the north and the SW region botched the conference when it came to decision on percentage to be allocated to oil producing areas in the south. Tinubu from 1999 campaigned for political restructuring but saw an opportunity to become president in 2014. The rest is history. |

America is not leading the whites. America is leading all, but it is more whites in power in america. And even they are trying to balance it to some extent. America is leading the world. Covid era it was their guidance that was most sorted. Europeans went to america with some white prisoners and african slaves. America has grown now. Yes, most whites in America are proud of their American and European heritage, the asians in America are proud of their American and Asian heritage, as for the blacks - nothing nothing. Nigeria that is suppose to be one of Africa's rock, is so ignorant, aloof, corrupt, and selfish to help anyone. Nigerians don't even know about African Americans or others, including other african countries. We are so self centered. That's why elementary and secondary schools need overhaul. They need to teach younger Nigerians of other people and also be taught moral lessons. Most blacks world wide feel like they need to just touch their feet on nigeria, to be confirmed black. African Americans, Caribbeans, other African countries including SA, all wish to come to nigeria. Nigeria is like their own Rome or Mecca. Other african don't feel like they are in africa yet because they have not gone to Nigeria. Europe makes whites outside europe proud. They can easily be integrated, even integrated with other races. Same as Asia. They are moving, meshing their best selves together. As for Nigeria, we are he is igbo/yoruba/fulani/hausa/whatever. No growth, no helpful policies, no plan, no trust of anything even between neighbors of the same tribe. We are backward by choice. The Nigerian leaders just prefer to be beggars than trust human tourism, than trust human integration, than equality and fairness, etc |

Honestfrend:You are derailing off point! Your initial point was the high cost of staple food "garri"...and i highlighted that farmers prefer to sell their cassava to d highest bidders (chinkos) than to sell to garri n akpu processors... Obj's policies may not be excellent to infrastructural dev.. But u cant fault him in agric and economy... U can be ancient of days but i just placed d fact at ur doorstep..chikena |

Our youths should be very careful not to place high expectations on Obi because he may not meet up just like Baba. Well Obi seems to be a better candidate but not the best anyways. Nigeria may need to be "Articulated" I come in peace! Nigeria go better! |

This is the honest truth. Our choice of leaders destroyed this country. Not just that presidential level bt Senate, reps and governors. |
