I captured at Alausa passport yesterday as DIY. It went so well until when we got to the final stage for capturing, they said no service to verify NIN. We waited for 2hours 30mins before they start calling us back that service has come up. So, attended to us and left there around 4:30pm

What can I do if NIMC refuses to validate my name correction for the past five months. My capturing appointment is few days away. I have tried reaching them through their emails but not going through (the mails queued up). The NIMC official who did ithe correction for me for me wants me to pay 3k for the validation which I do not want to pay because it defeats the essence of my long time waiting (five months). How do I reach them at the top ?

Go to any nearby NIMC office in your area and tell them that you want to validate your nim, that it has not be validated after you change your names. They will tell you you that it can only be done in the head office that you should go there or found them something so that they will help you send your details to head office for validation and i think any amount to #500 will be ok

Head office does not mean it must be Abuja. Their main office in your state is where they will tell you they can validate it. Go straight to servicom to write down your name, after that you will go to the hall to wait till they call your name. When you hear your name, you will go to the place you write down your and arrange your documents.

I need help regarding passport. I and my wife just want to begin our japa runz with the first step of getting our passport before deciding what to do next.

Im renewing my passport as it is expired and my wife is applying fresh for the first time,

Is it advisable my wife process her fresh application using her maiden name or she changes her surname to mine in the new application backing it up marriage certificate and affidavit?

Hope it will not be an issue during traveling processing as her passport will only be the ID having my surname while other ID and certificate still has its maiden name as the surname.

Hey guys,

I had my capturing today at Ikoyi office and would like to share my experience briefly.

Got there at about 7:48am and by 8:am we were asked to queue up and was called in in batches of 10. Was a pretty quick process though as long as you have a hard or soft copy of your “Appointment slip”.

I got into the premises, was directed to servicom unit by the right soon as you enter through the gate. A file was opened for me here and was then asked to take it to “Long room” for confirmation and approval. Don’t worry, you’ll be directed there.

After approval which took about 30 mins, I then proceeded to the capturing room where I waited in another queue. Not to worry again, the queue moved really fast. We were called in one after the other for our capturing. After which a print out will be handed to you and be informed you’ll get an sms for collection.

3. Ensure your data matches what’s on your NIN. Very very crucial.

I captured by 11:50 am and left the passport office by 12. Immediately I got home, I tracked my application and it’s already on “Production”.

Thank You but I have heard of people paying online and on proceeding to their office they were told 64 pages is not available and asked to pay for 32 pages seperately.
