I got a refusal today with the following comment:

'I acknowledge that the applicant has family ties to their home country and place some weight
on that in favour of the applicant. However, I have concerns that these ties may not be a
strong enough incentive for the applicant to depart Australia upon completion of their studies.
I give more weight to consideration of the applicant’s potential economic circumstances
in their home country compared to Australia and the value of the course to the applicant’s
future.
While I accept that obtaining qualifications from an Australian educational institution may
positively influence employment and remuneration prospects in an applicant’s home country,
I am not satisfied that the applicant demonstrated how they would achieve this against the
background of prevailing economic circumstances in their home country. The applicant
implied a career pathway intention in their home country and how this would be an incentive
for them to return, but did not provide any convincing evidence to support this. I have
considered the applicant’s likely earning capacity in Australia and in their home country.
Based on the information before me, I am not satisfied the financial incentives to return home
outweigh the financial incentives to remain in Australia. I therefore place little weight on the
applicant’s implied intention.'

This reason seems vague as it compares Nigeria economic situation with that of Australia on a broader view.
How can i remediate this refusal reason in subsequent application?

I solicit your responses. Thanks

I started this journey in 2020.

Sorry about the refusal but don't give up.

Even if we are going to look at your case, only you can detect where the problem is coming. Please take your time and go through everything. You will discover, why you were denied. Please make sure that things have improved on your side, before applying again.

Cheers!

This is heart breaking
1. What family ties were presented
2. What earning did you indicate in Nigeria
3. What course did you apply for?

Is there any way to confirm my agent submitted my GTE yet?
How long does it take for Western Sydney Uni to reply GTE application ?

You can only call the school and ask them, but why Western Sydney University? That school takes like forever to approve GTE

Hello, good evening guys.

Please I have a question.

It’s been 3 weeks or more of my documents been approved and I am yet to get my CoE.
I have emailed the school (Torrens) continuously and they kept saying I should enroll to start online which isn’t my intention at all.
I optioned for a deferral to February next year since I couldn’t meet up with my initial start date which was this September. My request hasn’t been approved.

I got a call from the Torrens agent this morning, he explained that I wouldn’t be deferred to February because it will affect me in lodging my visa application and getting a grant. He further explained that I wouldn’t be getting any grant this year till January or February next year if I’m being given a COE that is bearing February date. So I’ll be getting my COE with the September date but will be allowed to begin my course in February.

I spoke to my agent about it and she said it’s not true (about me not getting a grant this year if I get COE bearing February start date).
It’s really confusing.

Please is there anyone that has any idea what I can actually do. Please any opinion or idea about this issue will be appreciated .

Thank you for this.
Yeah. There was really no reason.
My family ties were acknowledged but it capitalised on the potential economic benefit of my course being in Australia outweighs that of Nigeria .
WestAfrican:

You need to work on why you were refused in the first place. If your circumstances on refusal hasn't change, you most probably will be refused again.

We're lucky Australia gives reason for refusal, lot of countries don't. Which makes it more difficult when reapplying.

Japan doesn't give reason and they won't charge you fees. China is useless.

Sorry about this.
It appears we have similar reasons for refusal.
Can we connect so we can deliberate on what to do differently.

Hello, good morning.

Prior to lodging my visa application, I’d like to make some enquiry.

Given the reasons I intend to state as to why I will be returning back to Nigeria, is it advisable to add that My father has a business (no relation to my course of study) which I will be coming back to work in and that my mum is a registered nurse and I have worked alongside her (volunteering) so I intend to come back and get a full time job at the workplace.

Please I need all opinions on the issue. I don’t want to make any mistakes that will cost me getting a grant.

Please let me ask you guys real quick:

1. Are diploma programs e.g.1.8 or 2yrs enrolled nursing programs accessible by Nigerians?

2. Presently, can anyone recommend an affordable AL1 university in any part of Australia?

3. At 38, is it possible to convince the visa officer of one's intention of enrolling in a BSc or Diploma program while holding an MBA?

4. I heard POF is not needed if one can pay a semester or annual fees of an AL1 university, is that correct?

5. Are enrolled nursing graduates eligible to apply for PR without a BSc nursing degree?

Thanks in anticipation.

Someone should plz help with this.....

Ask your dad to give you a job offer that will commence when you will be finishing your study in Australia (A very strong tie to return home) and if possible, let the company also sponsor you.

and that my mum is a registered nurse and I have worked alongside her (volunteering) so I intend to come back and get a full time job at the workplace.

what course are you looking to study in Australia? Is it related to Nursing? If yes, ask the company your mum worn for to write you a recommendation letter and to state that they will be happy to employ you when you return home

Please I need all opinions on the issue. I don’t want to make any mistakes that will cost me getting a grant.

A lot have and it's much better doing it that way than sponsoring yourself. They must also write you a very strong recommendation letter. Provide your payslips, tax statements, and job offer letter to buttress your claim.

Please let me ask you guys real quick:

1. Are diploma programs e.g.1.8 or 2yrs enrolled nursing programs accessible by Nigerians?
Yes, you need to meet the criterias

2. Presently, can anyone recommend an affordable AL1 university in any part of Australia?
Tuition is almost the same across Australia. The government made it so to encourage competition among Universities

3. At 38, is it possible to convince the visa officer of one's intention of enrolling in a BSc or Diploma program while holding an MBA?

While holding an MBA? NO. You can't go from higher to lower. Possible if you enroll for Masters program or just apply for BSc without presenting your MBA certificate

4. I heard POF is not needed if one can pay a semester or annual fees of an AL1 university, is that correct?

Absolutely right.

5. Are enrolled nursing graduates eligible to apply for PR without a BSc nursing degree?

Yes, read this:. https://deltaimmigration.com.au/Enrolled-Nurse/411411.htm

Yes AL1 schools don't need POF and it depends on ur course that determines the tution fees just have at least 6million for tuition fees, use #AL1 school it has higher visa success rate, u can transfer to a cheaper school after a semester.
