Why are you so insecure? Did anyone mention Hdi here?

There's no zoo here but little India. Since you can't answer the question, then let's take it as an admittance that Ghana is better than Kenya. grin
Your logic was to be based on HDI. But after realizing both Ghana and Kenya are ahead of your zoo, You're indirectly withdrawing.

Any indices that puts ghana ahead of kenya, then know your zoo is also trailing.

Imagine just on LNG plant alone,we will have LNG plant of 40b dollars, plus another industrial park with over 50 factories using gas as a raw material for those new factories.

Then we have this new Kwala city in coastal region with about 1,000 factories popping up.

Then we have bagamoyo with I don't know how many factories planned in that town.
Surely,we must get cheap labourers from kenya

Anyway, I heard Tanzania is now the biggest source of Remmitances in Africa to Kenya after South Africa.

More of your Ghana.

Ghana's debt to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to Bloomberg, is estimated at 84.6 per cent by the end of this year. This indicates that the nation's debt will have surpass ¢400 billion by far before the end of 2022.
All countries at the moment have a debt problem. Egypt is also going to the IMF and South African debt to GDP is also around 80% ( very high).
My previous post was solely about IMF support in history over the years. My point is that Kenya has needed more support only second to Liberia. It matters little to me what type of support they needed.
The only real mistake Ghana made in the past few years in my opinion (in comparison to Kenya) is that they relied so much on Eurobonds the way Egypt, South Africa, and Nigeria did.
Egypt borrowed most from Eurobonds, South Africa second, Ghana third, and Nigeria 4th.
Ghana like the other three countries should have played with caution.
Kenya on the other hand also have a high debt to GDP close to 70% if I'm not mistaken.

Yes. What do you expect from a lazy nation that can't build their nation by themselves. We have to set up our own companies and startups to help them, hence why.

We are building Tz.

Tanzania will always remain at our shadows. Keep dreaming. I think kenya will double Tanzania GDP in two years - you'll be 65B dollars - as we will be 120-130B dollars.

You're a poster child of stupidity - and should be donated to West Africa.

86% =! 70%!!?

I mean, how is 86% equivalent to 70%?

I wonder what he was thinking talking about IMF when Kenya is number 2 most supported country ever in Africa by IMF. Second only to Liberia.
In addition, Kenya is also much more indebted to China as well than Ghana.
You see what we are saying.
They don't know much about their own country. Kenya is the last country to criticize anyone about debts and it's management.

Taking a standby facility - which you never drawn - is not the same has being on bailout consistently for the last three decades.
Yes, Ghana biggest mistake is to take EXTERNAL COMMERCIAL LOANS.
Kenya generally avoid commercial loans;
Although we are also in debt crisis - ours is easy to solve.
Ghana need Jesus as I dont see any easy solution - you already have all the minerals but nothing doing.

This is a Kenyan map. Take eyeglasses on my bills and help yourself. The map is even showing 20% arable land, not 30.

We need IMF more than you need it. We have climate issues. You don't.

30% of Kenya is like half of ghana.

As of 2022, I see you've just paid $8M, but your outstanding debt still intact at a whooping $1.3M.
so you also want to dispute the facts?

The Agricultural land is your arable land size as stated below.
Tell me if the figure you see is not more than the size of Ghana

The problem is not even with the debt but the fact that the govt has failed to sign various contract for production in various fields that will make the economy fluid

Ghana has every means to repay it debt, Kenya does not.

Hence why your country took budgetary support IMF bailout last year and this year you have taken another IMF bailout to start repaying the Chinese loan despite several years of debt restructuring and freeze on debt repayment from china.

check debt servicing ratio..debt is repaid from taxes... Kenya ratio is not even at 40 percent.. Ghana is soon joining Nigeria at 100 per cent plus meaning being broke completely.Kenya problem is having to cut development or borrow to develop but we can meet our expenditures including debt repayment . Nigeria is borrowing to pay salaries.. Ghana going there

great you ask for that ...

Ghana debt servicing to revenue stands at 48%
Kenya parliamentary report put Kenya's debt servicing to revenue at 63% while Bloomberg puts it at 74%.

Unfortunately you can't meet your expenditure hence your borrowing for your budget and to pay salaries.

Explain how. For what I know; ghana's debt service on external debt is at 2.5billion USD, Kenya is doing nearly 3B USD.

Lanes.

Also, our productive population will easily pay our debts. Government's new plan is to consume 65% of the taxes - that is 1.3trillion, serious business. That means the government funded projects(huge pr) will have to wait until we achieve our targeted 55% debt ceiling.

We need to hit below our debt ceiling before we can embark on serious business.

For now, all infrastructural developments will solely depend on private investors. And they are in a boom since the policy has been adjusted to favor them.

How Kenyan man makes beautiful pencils from recycled newspapers

Mahamud Omari and his partners came up with the idea of making Momo Pencils from recycled newspapers after they realised most of the pencils used in Kenya are imported from China and India.

They put their mind together, bought machines and employed people who collect the newspapers from homes and offices.

The move has helped to achieve two things: conserve the environment and provide affordable pencils for Kenyan school kids.
