FatherOfJesus:PDP lost NW And NE region in 2003,2011,2015,2019. But one drunkard thinks the traditional voting pattern will change when Atiku a politician that lost his own polling contest in 2023 It will be easier for APC to win SS region than pdp defeat Apc in core North. PDP currently has only 4 govs in the entire 19 states Northern Nigeria, which miracle is featherweight atiku going to perform |

Tinubu will receive the similar % of vote MKO recorded that propelled him to victory in the SW. I don't want to say figures because that is open to distortion but %. He will have it n he will win every SW state every single one. MKO lost Kogi Tinubu will win it outrightly. He should go n deal with the Northerners any how he likes I don't know much about that. ogatboy: |

Tinubu will not win, even with violence and rigging. The race is between Obi and Atiku, and if you ask me, based on structure and a combination of other things, Atiku will win. Obi has built a formidable third force and I think he stands a better chance in 2027. 1 Like |

FatherOfJesus: I do not agree with your analysis. Being a northerner doesn't specifically guarantee a candidate emergence tho, what does are mostly principles and survivability of a party in politics. APC has a major stand in the north and they are not about to let go of that. The victory of a PDP president means Buhari's legacy is dead and end of northern political dominance. I will bet you anything if an Hausa wins this presidency, the north will have to beg for power before they see it again. Tinubu will take over APC again, even if that's the last thing he does in politics, down rank major northerners and make the party a full southern party which will easily if not anything elect a southern president after 4 years. The only card Atiku's camp have against Tinubu is unless Buhari's camp backs out from Tinubu's campaign without that happening his victory is already guaranteed. The Yoruba people or tribe has a steady working relationship with the Hausa/Fulanis as a matter of fact of the 3 major tribes the two seems to have an understanding. Atiku is a powerhouse surely, but Tinubu also is. When Babangida comes on board for Tinubu, it will make for a smooth victory but as it is, its still 50-50 with the Maradona himself. Babangida is one the major last block in the north for Tinubu. He remains neutral. 3 Likes |

This is ok as long as you know you are inconsequential. Peter Obi will not have 3% of the total vote cash in the SW. And yes I said 3 not 30% should you think am mistaken. Sholaadey: |

Didi2d: I have witnessed it countless time. During second term election of former governor Ajimobi in Ibadan, I was at the polling center to catch fun that day as I was not eligible to vote in Ibadan, there was this tall guy shouting up and down warning people not to sell their votes. I don't what happened, but baba first start complaining about slow process, follow by " we are hungry o, you can't keep delaying us here, let do this quick and go our homes" . To cut the story short, he eventually sold his vote for just 3k. We know all this because, agents with bag of cash sharing the money after the ones monitoring process must have approved the person were sitting close to us at one corner where we were observing everything. Nigeria is gone, and the electorates too are too impoverish to reject the offer. 1 Like |

FatherOfJesus Very good analysis. My posture as always been not to underestimate the power of that Buhari's endorsement will have on Tinubu. Some of that dwindling goodwill in the North will boost Tinubu's fortune. Also, he also has the popularity of his running mate. He and the present governor of Bornu state can help turn the tide in the Northwest in Tinubu's favor Anyways, Atiku seems likely to win. He doesn't come across as a typical Northerner but as a "suit". He can bridge both divides. However, his presidency will be a tumultuous one if riddled with corruption and cronyism, it will make it hard for him to push through with the much needed reforms he has in store. I foresee either him or Tinubu owning an oil well each were either to win the elections. You can't push through economic shock therapy which will involve some initial pain for the masses while while you add new data to the pandora files. |

Oyindola: Structure isnt about crowds, its about people with a level of influence in their various spheres. These spheres are not idenrical and vary in level of spread. You cant dismiss a party like the pdp or the apc easily because they've built loyalty over the years because of power and money. A typical eg is the redeemed church. A church like chosen can't outfox redeemed in population, spread and wealth, because of obvious reasons This is exactly what lp lacks. |

The killings, insecurity, hardship and suffering inflicted on Nigerians by APC has reset everybody's brain no matter where you come from. Even businesses are suffering tremendously because of terrible government policies. So, no one is spared in the evil government. 2023 elections will show that Nigerians are tired of bad leadership. The North suffered under Buharii, so its not going to be by ethnicity or religion. Its Competence, character and capacity to deliver good governance to Nigerians. Peter Obi and Datti Yususf of Labour Party are coming to reset Nigeria. Let no one deceive you to vote incompetence, it will place the last nail on Nigeria's coffin if wrong leadership is elected. 1 Like |
