— A Nigerian lady has gone online to share a video of the house she rented and decided to carry out a thorough renovation on.

—Seeing that the tiles in the kitchen did not suit her taste, she had everything removed and new ones were fixed.

”My landlady gave me renovation approval”

— In the bathroom, she removed the block demarcation and restructured the place. She revealed that her landlady already gave her the permission for the renovation.

In that aspect Sha, but atleast the lady could keep the money she used in renovating the house and continue saving, she can then meet the budget for a land and foundation(subsequently she continues from there).

Las las, she would still cut off from the house.

At the start it's always sweeting the tenant but if in the long run, there is conflict between them damages might occur.

As a tenant, as long as it gives me the desired taste, can afford it and also let go I will but as a landlord I won't agree because of the experience in my father's property, he later damaged more than what he did when leaving and still owed some years rent.

It's only a terrible case of schizophrenia that can make me do such. That same bastard will still throw me out of the house or verbally abuse me because of one month overdue rent. Tufia.

I can do this if I feel the house is not good enough for my taste, after all, na I go dey stay there, and if I'm okay with the location of the house why not?

Most of you saying she should have used the money to buy land are build her own house are just being funny and preposterous, una thing says to build a house na joke...

I love comfort and beautiful aesthetics. It's not bad, as long as I have the money. Well, it's mostly why I prefer new houses. Just pay and pack in.

Very true. I have seen Lagos landlords sell their properties at will. The most shocking had to be this one that sold off 5 flats, then he retained one for himself. He was now the ex-landlord while living on his (former) property.

I was not around then but I was told he damaged the pipes together with the other things he added to the apartment and when the new tenant parked in, he was not around as there was no light for a while, when light came water was pumped and his apartment was filled with water with the mattress fully soaked.

The ones in Nigeria would leave theirs like that. So you would see a building, middle floor go get alumaco and fine railings. It might even be painted a new colour. Very far... I'll remodel it to my state as far as it is allowed. This is where I live,its my home and its mine. I sleep here and wake up here.

This is the reason why we neglect government projects sited in our towns and communities because we always say it belongs to the government when it is we that benefit from it.
