A very lazy nation of people, that have refused to work, always looking for a scapegoat to blame for their own woes.

Vote from now till 2054, a bad tree can never yield good fruits, bunch of hypocrites, multiply Peter Obi into 7, Nigeria will still be the same.

By 2054 the Naira will be so worthless against the dollar, that there wouldn’t be an exchange rate for it anymore.

As lazy as the alagbado ancestor who packaged Abacha’s PTF associate of IntegriThief as APC’s corruption fighting messiah with promises of change?
Instead, what did we have?
The economy wrecked to over 50% unemployment and underemployment, inflation, insecurity, poverty and higher out of school children etc.
Why should any sane person reinforce failure

Fraudulent Peter Obi is also part of the wrecking scam that has made our exchange rate worse, by importing instead of buying local items for his supermarkets, and shipping money abroad like Abacha stashed our money in Switzerland.
What manner of hypocrite is liar liar Peter Obi with his fake integrity

bennybuhari:
“’I cannot take anything back about Obi. I said Obi said he wants to move Nigeria back from consumption to production and I said that is not true. He cannot do it because his own business survives on consumption. Is that a lie? He has been an importer and I said he deals with cash and carry economics; container economics, imports”.

“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.

“So, Obi is deceiving everybody and I can’t take that back because that is true. What I said about Asiwaju, I gave examples of his vision, knowledge and courage. There is none about Obi. You can’t point to any enduring legacy of Obi in his eight years as governor of Anambra”.

The destruction of this nation is collective effort and not only to one tribe. When Zik, Awolowo, Tafawa Balewa had tge opportunity to share/break this country, what did they do. Ditto obasanjo & jonathan
One day, a saviour will arise for this country as I don't see it in any of the current leading contestants. Obi own will be worse if he win as those structural engineers will choke him. Those people are devil incarnate.

10 months ago, 1 Euro = 1.13 USD
Today it is 1 Euro = 0.8* USD

Note: The devaluation of Naira didn't start recently, it started long ago.

Hence, let's know who to blame.

Yes, we know who to blame- ThiefNuibu and Buhari who promised us change but only stole our past, present and future with massive corruption and looting that will make Abacha jealous.
We sure know who to blame.

The thing is after we got independence, instead of driving forward, we entered reverse mode.
We have been on reverse gear since then. The worst part is some people will come and still be blaming the British/ USA for their self inflicted woes.

A nation of consumers. Humpty Dumpty fall will be child's play to Naira own when it reaches that stage

Simple things our factories used to do in decades past is now what we import. Textile factories that used to be largest employers of workers are no more.we import ordinary detergent to repackage, our publishers now go to Malaysia to print and sell textbooks here and they expect Naira to be strong

As much as I believe that Nigeria will be great again, I totally frown at misinformation. Rufai should do his maths well. The naira was not valuable than the pound-£650 to #793

Thanks Man....

Na lazy thinking go kill this country!

Simple things like respect your father and your mother can be applied to this money crashing, but No Nigerians said it was largely due to non exports of products, I laugh.

You get mind commot dollars from your system(they did not learn from Ghana, it was Nigeria that created money Abi? ), deceived the nation saying they were lazy, they need to work hard and stop importing, never supplied gave funds for development and boom, they borrowed like mad.

They will say non-exportation of goods from NIGERIA is the cause, as if America and China do not the same deficit, although low!

Tenten, we were all played liked that. Now Peter Obi, Atiku, Tinubu, is our Messiah, chai, like they are no other positions to vote for. Chai, Nigeria ooh!

This system was made to kill dreams, Nigerians don't know this, Even if a New money family is made in trillions, they won't survive this!

I was told that it was the dullards by a man in his 60's that go to study in US and Britain then, when we have UNILAG, UNIBADAN, IFE and co.

And when applying for job, and you say you were a graduate of Cambridge so so in USA, you would be mocked and considered second rate to those who finished from the top notch Universities in Naija then, with good grades.

But today, it's vice versa.

Rufai, I get what you are trying to say. However, the figures you quoted showed that the pound was stronger than the Naira at the time. More Naira exchanged for the Pound Sterling and not the other way round. N793 exchanged for £650, so £1 was N1.22, 22% weaker than the £.

Yes, the British Govt defended the Pound Sterling last week to the tune of £65bln in a single day, yet the Pound crashed to its lowest level against the Dollar in decades (more than 30% loss) if my numbers are correct. Economies are volatile around the world and many currencies have tanked against the Dollar. Our situation may be self inflicted atimes but not immune from the global economic crisis.

The important thing is exchange stability so that businesses can plan. The Japanese Yen exchanges at more than 120 to the Dollar, no issues. As long as we depend on oil revenues for most of our forex needs, our currency is doomed. We have to diversify our forex earnings by exporting more goods and services apart from oil. Any manifesto that doesn't prioritise this and the quadrupling of revenues in the medium term is dead on arrival.

How does that affect the exchange rate of naira?
You see, you guys are the most bitter and caustic set of supporters yet you claim Obidients are hateful.
How does driving in brt lane have anything to do with the point he's raising?
Even in Western world, there are no saints. But the system works. That's what he's talking about. A Central Bank governor can't be partisan.
