Viruses:

Honestly if you're genuinely married, marriage certificate is what is needed. If they are in doubt, they should go and verify the certificate.

Just like submitting B.Sc certificate with final year class group pictures as evidence for being a graduate.

Can't blame them

People are abusing the dependent stuff now with sham marriages and want to divorce when they get here
UKVI will now tell them to go back to Nigeria to divorce and only the primary applicant can come back in

Overwise!

I remember when I first got in here, I attempted to play the race card at a situation which I even shared here. I had to unlearn that nonsense fast else it would have affected my outlook at everything. The OP parked on the road and left a child standing by themself, that should have been enough to understand why the person was speaking to their child. As for that person defending his stance on racism, he should just go back to Nigeria because he’s disturbing this thread.

Yeah that's the way. We have to unlearn some of these things, so we don't tie ourselves down.

Thanks so much for your input, from my research, Royal airmaroc seem to be the only airline allowing minimum age 2 to travel unaccompanied, though they won't allow kids travel alone on a dependents visa without the main applicant since it is one of the visa requirements. I, being the main applicant will go get them. I appreciate you!

Meanwhile, will it be an issue if the POF is left in my husband's account? We used his account to process our visas when both of us applied in July,
or should we move it to mine since I will have to go for the kids? Will a consent letter from him suffice?

Sorry for the many questions please...
giselle237:
they do take care of them amazingly. I have done this severally for my siblings when I didn't want headache.
They are treated same way as 1st class ticket travellers. They dnt stay on any queue. On their flights, the captain of the flight is made aware of them.
They’ll stay in the first or business class lounge if any transits.. they’ll be taken off the plane by the airline and then taken through all security check points..they dnt stress.. when they reach their destination it’s same thing through customs.. and then onto their luggage. They will wait with them and call the contact information and wont hand them over to anyone else until the assigned pick up person comes.
They never ever go through any process alone.
The airline assigns people to them THROUGH everything from start of trip till end.
My problem is the 3 year old.. tht one is a baby. If you are exploring this option then choose direct flight

hello people. please i need some answers. when we first got into the uk, we paid our rent 6 months upfront and signed a 6 months tenancy agreement. its one and half month to its expiration and our agent is asking for another upfront payment or we meet the earning criteria for renting the house. My hubby got a job that meets the criteria but would resume within this month, we communicated this to the agent and they are saying we wouldn't pass the referencing because he would still be on probationary period, mind you it is a permanent job that meets the earning criteria. Are they correct? They are now asking for a uk guarantor which we don't have. please does anyone know how we can handle this situation? is there anyway we can rent a guarantor? or should we insist that they go ahead with the referencing when my hubby resumes. i am really confused as we don't have 6 months upfront to pay again and we have no guarantor.

These landlord are just exploiting the housing shortage ... I saw someone posted here a site that do guarantor for a fee but the website wasn't actually posted. Maybe you check google or find that post and reply

I actually "caused" one in a way (long story but it was not intentional)

Home Office has sent them emails to go back home, divorce and re-enter

Apparently, they got here and went their seperate ways. Time to apply for PSW, they claimed divorced so home office told them to go back home, divorce and the main applicant can come back in... Else, they both will be denied

I know someone who had to paid rent for a full year in advance to get a flat. Almost £15k paid upfront for some dingy apartment. International students are being massively exploited, unfortunately, not everyone might get to reap the rewards after the huge expense.

Damn! Bush meat don catch the hunter be that. That's quite sad though, I don't see the reason for HO doing all that, especially if both parties are law abiding and aren't a burden on public coffers.

Reference is to check if the person is employed so the reference check should pass despite being in probation.

I also doubt you can be evicted for not paying several months in advance since the law requires monthly payments except they want to lie on the eviction notice. I think you should allow them do the reference check and if they say it failed and you should move, you will stay there and be paying monthly till you get another place even if it takes months again.

What's the longest visiting visa duration one can get?

Seems they give 5 - 10 yrs in the US (not sure but I think it's for seniors mostly)

That's deceit and lying to the authorities to enjoy benefits they weren't entitled to. We need to stop supporting things like this.

Get your new phone from 9ja while ensuring it’s the latest in terms of specifications.
Ensure a very laaaaarge memory space, you ll need it later.
Familiarise yourself to your map b4 you land UK

Calm down, you're imagining the support. People marry and divorce within a month. What if they were genuinely married but things just didn't work out?
