Just stick to what you know man. NNPC has always been the major remitter to the Nigerian Government until first quarter of this year. This is one of the best years for NNPC but it has not remitted due to increase in expenses. There's a huge uptick in subsidy payments this year. It is also working on refineries, building more stations in addition to subsidy payments.

There have also been a 50% decrease in oil production in Nigeria since 2021 but despite that NNPC has made billions of dollars from crude oil in the first half of this year ( definitely over 15 billion dollars if I'm not mistaken) and about 4 billion dollars from gas exports alone in that first 6 months. However there is the desire for expansion of gas infrastructures and refinery repairs hence the focus have shifted from mainly remitting to Government account like they always did in time past, to making profit.

We held a two-day knowledge transfer session with
Masters of Oil and Gas Law (LL.M) students from the
Strathmore University Law School, Nairobi, Kenya at our
head office. Our company was selected by the University as
the preferred indigenous sector leader for the academia
visit on the basis of its knowledge pool, success stories
and impact on the local and African oil and gas industry.
The highlight of the day was a session with our Group
Chief Executive, Adewale Tinubu , who shared his
experience as a trained lawyer that envisioned a brighter
future as an entrepreneur in the Nigerian oil and gas sector
and his aspirations for the sector.
On the second day, the students were invited to a tour of
the company’s downstream affiliate, OVH Energy in Apapa.
On conclusion of the tour, Micheal Horeria, a student
said: “This visit to Nigeria, to spend time with both the
private sector and the Government will save Kenya from
potential pitfalls. What you are doing here at Oando can be
replicated across Africa. The leadership, the quality of work,
the talent pool, their in-depth knowledge is evidence of great
investment and real added value to both the business and
the sector.”
