I don't think you understood. I'm saying to show more than enough funds for the months to live in Canada as well as the tuition (after the scholarship is factored in). Then, the co-op money could be factored in as an extra, not necessary for life

He seems to be suggesting altering bank statement to show a lot of money, much more than is necessary. Based on the particular case, he has a scholarship, his actual tuition fees are relatively low. The main thing is to show enough funds for living expenses while simultaneously explaining that in fact, he has started studies online.

People have also been refused when they had large POFs but could not prove the source or the reason they were leaving Nigeria despite all that money.

YOUR TOO MUCH. GOD BLESS YOU SIR

Hi all,

I'm an prospective undergraduate student to a school in Canada.

I graduated from secondary school this year.

I have gotten my admission letter for winter 2023 to the glory of God.

I know it's a bit late to start applying for a study permit, but how long does it usually take? I plan on applying online.

What documents do I need for seamless application process and what are the steps I have to go through after applying?

Like, a timeline of events that happen after applying.

I have been reading this thread for some time now, and the majority of timelines and requirements I see are those of people going for postgraduate courses.

To be very honest, I am scared that I won't get it on time, even though my parents are telling me to relax.

Anyways, any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Can anyone respond?

Hello,

I'm super impressed that you want to be fully involved in your application.

First of all, as your parents said, don't worry too much, everything will turn out ok for you, amen.

So to your questions, you've started reading the thread, that's the first logical step to take. The documents you require is similar if not the same as people doing PGD, so use that as a guide and tweak/amend as needed.

According to IRCC, you will get a decision about 13 weeks after submission and/or when your biometrics is received, this timeline is NOT accurate, it may be earlier but in most cases it's later than the 13 weeks. So, it means you're cutting it close if you submit an application now but go ahead to submit once you're ready, just double check with your school to see if you can defer resumption in case you don't get a reply on time.

Timeline as below:

1. Submit application
2. Go for biometrics
3. Go for medicals ( not compulsory but recommended, you can even do this before submission or any time along the line)
4. Wait for medicals to be passed, if applicable
5. Wait for eligibility to start
6. Receive decision

I posted what I did for my daughter's application when she was going to a Canadian high school, I believe it may be of help to you, you can click on my moniker to read it.

Wish you the very best!

Hello,

Your father is clearly financially capable but you still have to convince the VO of this, I've seen a few responses to your question which are all valid and you should consider everything but I wanted to chip in what we did for my daughter's application as it may help you or someone else.

For said application, we used our business accounts (mine and my husband's), no personal bank accounts were submitted, my kid was a minor so no SOA submitted for her as well. This is what we submitted:

1. 6 months MBS for each company account
2. Company registration documents: certificate of incorporation, form CO2 & CO7, memorandum and articles of association etc
3. Sales invoices
4. Board resolution letter confirming that the company and its board are aware of the sponsorship and will be paying the school fees for the period stated ( this is very important)
5. Bank reference letter confirming that I'm the sole signatory of my business account, the bank reference letter for my husband's coy didn't state this, just confirmed how long the account has been running
6. We also submitted an affidavit of sponsorship saying that in our capacity as owners of coy X and Y, we will be responsible for sponsoring our child's education.

Note 1 - we are majority shareholders in our separate businesses.

Note 2 - your father's personal bank account is sufficient, especially if there are no lump sums. You can use this on its own or add the coy's account as additional boost.

Hope this is helpful, all the best!

Hi guys .. I’ve been a ghost reader for a while now but please I have a question that has been on my mind for a while now
Okay...I’m about to submit my application for Canada study visa but I seem to have a problem with the sponsors account
My father is my sponsor and he has a company
So we actually planned to use the company account which has over 1billion which is the total Credit balance for six months...but recently I saw a thread on twitter which says we shouldn’t use any company account for our study visa so now I’m confused on what to do should I submit his personal account?... just that the personal account is not huge compared to that one
His personal account is 250m total credit balance for 6months
So please guys how true is it that I can’t use my fathers company account when he’s the sole signatory to the account and I’m just 19 plus the company will write a letter indicating I’m the CEO’s daughter plus bank’s reference letter will also show that I’m the sponsors daughter

And should i just submit both his company account and his personal account

What are my chances of being given a visa considering financial capability?

IRCC gets roughly $100 million a year from govt. This is in addition to ALL the monies generated from all the different application and penalty (if you apply late while in Canada) fees. If you use a fake/modified/altered account statement, they will catch you.

The funds you need are under $10,000 or max $15,000. You already have a scholarship and have started studies online. This shows that education is more important, not moving to Canada. This will also reduce the amount of months you need to prove

You have NOT yet submitted an application. Your application is mostly for the Co-op work permit. You may include co-op earnings (perhaps using 20% higher than min wage as a min reference).

- You need to submit NOW
- Explain that since you have started studies online, months in Nigeria should not be counted towards your $1,000 monthly need.
- Have enough funds to cover: fees that have not yet been paid, 18 to 24 months of living expenses, explain that your co-op will afford you the opportunity to work for X number of weeks (as specified in your admission letter); explain that this should also be considered a source of funds (using 1.2 x min wage x X weeks).
- Go straight with Canada, not the corners my bro.

Look at this site for quick info on co-op: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/intern.html
The bolded will result in refusal under paragraph 220 (a) (b) (c) of IRPA ..applicant must satisfy an officer that they have sufficient funds without working in canada to maintain and accommodate themselves and any family member accompanying them to canada..
Furthermore co op was designed to obtain work experience in canada..

Sorry to learn that you were denied.

Your biometrics is valid for 10yrs so you don't need to submit any documentation for that.

Your medicals is valid for 1yr so just upload your e-medical sheet you were given after your medicals.

Good luck

Thanks for the clarification.

I now think it is better to omit any mention of co-op income.

@uchenation.

Originally, I thought it may make sense to have enough funds set aside and allude to the co-op. The co-op income was not supposed to replace funds. This was in the context that the OP was talking about someone who could massage statement of account or something similar.

Good afternoon gurus in the house, please I need you help on how I can address my situation. I got an email yesterday from Conestoga that my program has been revoke due to late/no payment and I have initiated Form A with Access Bank since August 23rd but I haven't been debited for the transaction to the school. The Bank has assured me that the transaction would be sent to the School within few days. Can the revoke be reversed when the school gets the payment or what do you advise me to do at this point if anyone of you have had this particular challenge before? I have been calling the School but the International admission office is not taking calls at the moment and the response I got from the email seems not to be addressing my questions.
This can be quite tricky. What you can do is to monitor the program and make sure your intake is still listed as "open". If your deposit comes within this period then they will likely issue you a new letter but if the program is closed then they might have no choice than to defer your program, offer a new program
(which you might not want) or simply cancel your admission. So please familiarise yourself with their refund policy incase of any arising situations

Which of the following jobs would be better for a work permit application:

- HIV mobile tester for a HIV clinic
- English teacher.
