Seriously though you are very correct. He had the opportunity of turning and passing to Bruno on the overlap but the easier pass was to roll the ball straight towards Malacia.

But people need to check how he responded to Malacia losing the ball and how almost everybody on the pitch including the overaged referee outran him to get back into our box.

Lack of ability is not contagious but lack of effort is. If this kind of lack of effort continues we need to get rid ASAP.

That was a ball that you can take a shot, a curling shot or, a chipped pass or a side pass to was it Bruno, that could signal another attack. How could an attacker kill such an attacking pressure by passing it back to Malacia.

If you ask me, I would say Malacia even took a bad touch cos he was shocked that ball was coming to him as he wouldn't expect that in his wildest dream an attacking ball in that scenario would find its way to him in defence
