Shma2022:Yeah speculation and reality Your zoo is busy undergoing a 6.3 billion double IMF package over the last 12 months all because of a 74% debt to GDP ratio. Yet you want to compare yourself to a country that manage to reduced it debt ration from 86% to 68% by mere economic growth without an IMF package? Good luck Kenya despite all it resources couldn't get itself out of it stupid debt trap because you guys borrowed without thinking hence a 12 billion dollars yearly debt servicing cost... That is a 12 debt disaster looking at your ability to pay back. 1 Like |

Just40: Take your doze and sleep, Zimbabwen man. The Ghanaian cedi has dropped by a whopping 47.10% against the US dollar since the start of the year. Since January, the cedi has rapidly depreciated against the US dollar, making it the world’s second-worst performing currency after the Sri Lankan rupee. Also, Ghana’s inflation advanced faster than projected in July, as the value of the cedi fell, raising the cost of imported products such as cooking oil and gasoline. Your mini zoo needs redemption. |

Just40: I gave you reality and a foreseeable outcome. The reality is that you're doing 86%. The meticulously calculated future debt to gdp for year 2022 is 104%. Know the difference! https://www.imf.org/en/Countries/GHA/ghana-qandas#:~:text=Back%20to%20Top- I will not talk about your Zimbabwean currency. It's doing better than the cedi at the moment. But form the bottom barrel level of kwacha is were you're heading. |

Shma2022:That will not happen because my money retains lot of value ... It will even hold greater value with the current central bank gold purchasing scheme. You Kenyans are the ones requiring lots of notes to buy bread. Until you come to under currencies, you won't know how worthless the Kenyan shillings is. You think your central bank made it a managed currency for no reason? The Nigerian naira seized being a managed currency in 2016 into a floating tradable currency and today it is more valuable than the Kenyan shillings with it current level of trust 1 Like |

Shma2022:how is your venezuela doing zoo man? While Ghana inflation jumped, it had a lesser impact on the average Ghanaian because the everyday need of the ordinary Ghanaian is mostly provided by the Ghanaian economy itself. The power of being an export led economy... The double blow of inflation and depreciation dealth a disaster on your economy which has sent more Kenyans into poverty and starvation. This is all because your economy is import dependent 1 Like |

Shma2022:repeating won't help you venezuelan zoo man 402 billion cedis debt Your shillings is not trusted hence your central bank management .. they will keep babysitting your currency driving every Kenyan into deeper poverty despite the immense benefit of a floating currency ... I didn't expect life to be that deplorable until I decided to take a look at the living standard of Kenyans. 2 Likes |

rvp2018:This novella is not necessary. Kenya's budget deficit keeps growing, hence the borrowing and the aid. |
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 5:30pm On Oct 07, 2022 |
Budget deficit is dropping annually - and our revenues are increasing at double digit - and economy grew at 7.5% (projected this year 5.5% despite election & global crisis)- the base lending rate is 8%. Kshs has only depreciated by 18% - the worst in recent history - and very good globally. Ruto is going to soon unveil supplementary budget with a whooping 300B Kshs budget cut - and we will balance the budget in two years. Kenya is not Nigeria or Ghana - we take hard decision way before things go south - and we know what prudent public finance is. We have debt crisis that we will fix 1) reducing the budget 2) reducing borrowing 3) growing tax revenues - while growing the economy. obaaderemi: 1 Like |

Mad cow - It most useless currency in the world now. Value of a currency is not in redominating to a dollar; It will still go back to 50,000 cedis to dollar. Your currency has now almost lost 100% of it's VALUE with two months to close the year . And your salary has not been increased 100%. Once you default; it will shoot to 50,000 cedis to 1 dollar - HYPER INFLATION. Just40: 1 Like |

rvp2018:let me just laugh You have a debt crisis you can't fix after several restructuring Your are in 2022 and 15% of your budget is still dependent on aid. Someone else is deciding if your hospitals will be running or not, whether you will have an education or not, whether you'll have water or electricity or not. All those aside, you have a humanitarian disaster on your hand as well as a social crisis . That is how funny you country is 2 Likes |

Mad cow ranting will not stop Ghana from sovereign default. Kenya economy is Africa most resilient. How do you survive with base rate of 25% - that is how much desperate Ghana gov is willing to borrow - and there are no takers. I dont pray but I would pray for Ghana Just40: 1 Like |

rvp2018:dumb cow tantrums look bad on you Fortunately it is among the 5 most valuable currencies on the continent. It has made the worse loses for this year in trading . The Kenyan shillings is now at hundred and what? Let me jump into your bumb level to taunt you a bit. You see how your cost of living crisis has fallen deeply on your population and made them even more poorer ? That is all happing because of the throwback hyperinflation in the Kenyan economy. What your country is facing is price inflation and it terrible effect on your population is damning Same can't be said for Ghana while Ghana is facing monetary inflation whose effect does not normally translate into pricing as quickly as price inflation 1 Like |

rvp2018:Ghana will not default.. as I am speaking, she is busily buying gold and printing money .... Kenya economy is one of the weakest economy on the continent, highly bloated hence has no trickle down effect on it population. I pray that Ghana doesnt end up in the debt cycle that Kenya has found itself where it is now paying wages out of acquiring more debt where you only see a face value growth which has no effect on the real economy. Your country is in a deep shit and if nothing at all, the two IMF programs it has signed into should tell you something. Things are only going to get worse for you guys especially when your govt can't spend anymore. By 2024, your country liabilities to international finance houses will have reached 15 billion dollars per annum. 74% of your revenue is already gone.. imagine how much it will be in 2 years time 2 Likes |

Somethings are beyond your level. 1 dollar is 144yen. Is Cedis stronger? The strength of currency is STABILITY. The strength of an economy is STABILITY STABLE PREDICTABLE MACRO ECONOMICS. Fix the fundementals otherwise it\s not even 10yrs when you redominated to a dollar Now it's lost 1000% its value in 10yrs Just40: |

rvp2018:There's a reason why the Japanese yen is more valuable than the Cedis and it all comes down to the money supply( inflows and outflows) while the Cedi has a better exchange rate than the yen. Same can't be said for the kshs as it supply(inflows out flows) is lower than the Cedis and worse of all, it trading volume is non-existent.. The strength of a currency is tradability The strength of and economy is trade volume You see why you have no knowledge of economics? 1 Like |

Shma2022:you see why you're just dumb.. Since you're focusing on exchange rate.... You still need 12 kshs to get 1 Cedi, unfortunately there's no trade between both countries to have a direct comparison. In value terms it is even worse because you'll need as much as 30 kshs to get the value of a Cedi.. This is part of the reason why there's a higher standard of living in Ghana than Kenya 1 Like |
