Thank you very much for this detailed reply. I am prone to go with option 1. Yes, my last and only medicals was Dec 27th, 2021. I passed the medicals Feb 9th, 2022. Radio silence ever since. Flight fares are mad. This may be the most expensive short landing ever if my fears come to reality
For Option 2, what do you think it will cost to change flight fares? It currently seats at 5 million naira(Total Fare) for a family of four
GraciousWords:

AFAIK, IRCC are not going to take a look at any upfront remeds at this point. I may be wrong though.

You will know your COPR expiry from GC Key when app is approved or when passport is returned......you may be pleasantly surprised that it is further than Dec 27.

Option1: wait till you know exact COPR expiry to book your ticket BUT ticket prices will likely be higher as you get closer to travel date
Option 2: book ticket now for Dec 13/20 BUT it may be expensive to change date if passport is delayed or if COPR expiry is 2023 and you decide to leave later.

Either way, send your passports off to the fastest VO, Nairobi or Rome or wherever NOW (you've lost 6 days already)....... flight prices are not only crazy, they have gone bonkers........but what is a Japarian to do?!

PS: are you 100% sure of your medical expiry, did you do your last meds in Dec 2021?

Edit: scratch that.....seems the basis of COPR expiry is not cast in stone....for me it was 2 days short of the one year anniversary of my meds passed date. Dimple10 had a different experience. Olalekan suggests it's the day, meds were submitted to IRCC by the clinic.

Change of date is maybe $100 per ticket but best to check with the airline.

After school, you get your post graduate work permit, after working for a year, you might not have enough time left on your PGWP. When you file for your PR and receive aor, you can use that to apply for a bridging work permit to buy you more time till you get a decision on your permanent residency. Your PGWP has to be expiring in about 4 months or so. Not sure about the exact time. Research on that

I need some help with dropping my passport at VFS Lagos. That's where I submitted my biometrics

I searched nairaland and was able to put the below information together. I'll appreciate if anyone with experience can confirm if it's correct.

I'm to address the package to:
Canada Visa Application Centre
Ground Floor, The Manor
Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way, Lekki Phase 1

Nigeria

Documents to be submitted as one package:

1. Two photocopies of international passport data page
2. International Passport itself
3. Passport request letter
4. Biometric confirmation slip
5. Two copies of signed vfs consent forms (I don't know where to get this yet)
6. A paper with my contact details: name, phone number, email address, home address.
7. Pay SMS fee of N990 to
Canada Logistics Collection Account

Send the documents via DHL 2-way courier.

Thanks in anticipation

Hey, congratulations
Has your question been answered
Also, is biometrics confirmation slip the “long blue light paper”? Just that right

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/apply-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html

For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued AFTER the last time the applicant lived in that country.

Thanks for pointing this out however, a week ago, I got Police clearance request for the country I currently live in in addition to Schedule A. When I was about making submission today, I got another same Schedule A request and Police clearance request. There was no mention of the country for the Police certificate but it is likely 9ja. Meanwhile, since I have not been in 9ja since the last submission of the 9ja Police request, from the link posted, it says, "For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row", does this mean there is no need to submit a new 9ja Police request?

What is your take?

No, I don't think so. IMO they are just trying to verify that the business really exists and one way to do so is to see evidence of taxes paid to the government.

Give them the tax receipts, let them give you your PPR.

Congrats in advance!

Thanks for the response. I just made payments for the tax which bore recent dates, will this be a problem or they are more interested to confirm that the taxes were paid regardless of dates of payments. Just a bit curious.

What this page shows is that your friend has processed HND transcript to WES which has been received

But the three things they are waiting for now is
1.HND Certificate
2.OND certificate
3.OND Transcript

Upload 1 and 2 on their portal and then process the school to send the 3rd(OND transcript)

You have to painstakingly pay for it

I had to sweat the money out in addition to paying for my institution to send transcripts to WES both OND and HND

Meanwhile has anyone migrated their WES evaluation from USA to Canada

I have opened a new account for canada and wants to request for it transferred to canada. I know i will have to pay for IRCC evaluation type but is it possible cos i cant afford to pay my school another processing and transcript fee

Hello Team,

I have a question, I recently received my COPR and thinking of getting married before travelling.
What will be the best approach here?
Is there anyone who has gone through the same thing recently i.e. updating IRCC of change in status and submitting extra documents. How long did the process take?
Any and every information is appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello everyone,

I have an issue. I have applied for Express entry since December 2020 and apart biometrics update and a few ghost updates, it has been radio silence since then. However on September 21, I got a request for remedicals, then after a few hours I got ADR as well. I immediately booked my medicals and started sorting the additional documents that were requested. I did my medicals last week it was approved on Wednesday. But on Friday, I got an update on my account that my application has been refused based on eligibility grounds. This is surprising because I still have till October 21 to provide the additional documents requested from me. Also, despite the fact that I received a refusal letter the status of application is still on "action required" referring to the pending ADR. My first instinct was to file a technical complaint which I did. But I would like to know if someone has gone through this before and which alternative means I can use to register my complaints about the situation.

Since Dec2020....??. But have you ever made request for GCMS OR CBSA? . This should have been revealed if you've made these requests in the course of your process.

You don’t need to give us police certificates for any period of time before you were 18 years old or for time spent in Canada = you need to give them PCC for ANY period of time AFTER you turned 18....you gerrit?

Got it thanks, but I thought PCC isn't done per city but encompasses the entire stay in the said country irrespective of the number of cities one lived in the said country?

IRCC are usually very clear in any rejection. What was written in your letter about why you failed eligibility? Is the rejection related to the ADR? Did you ever order GCMS notes? What were the officer's comments ?

You can send a webform, direct email to your VO to explain anything that needs to be cleared up and if I were you, I'd contact a lawyer like yesterday, AOR Dec 2020 is not beans....but you need the reason for the rejection to do this. Good luck!

If you decide to get married before you land, you must advise IRCC. Read PanicButton's posts for timelines or search NL for others using "COPR married" or "PPR married". I think the first step is an email to your VO advising of your marrigae, docs to be provided are on page 1 FAQ 34.

Good luck!

Don't know how they will view recent payments, submit what you have and hope for the best.

OR maybe add an LOE to explain why tax is only being paid now if there is a valid reason.

GraciousWords, dimple10 and others...

I need your suggestions here please.
I am currently in the pool with 490, french done and some point got from spouse. Spouse can still add about 8 points if 8777 is achieved but too occupied for preparation and that might not be fully attained.
I will be losing points due to birthday before the second draw in Nov.
According to my calculations, 1st draw in Nov will be around lower 490s and I don't want to take chances, not getting ITA this period means my score will fall to 485 which is another long wait.
1. Making my profile unaccompanied will get me the ITA 1st draw in Nov, can I still add spouse's IELTS before AOR if the new IELTS gives more points than what it is?
*I know VOs recalculate CRS with the day's draw, hence reason for waiting for 1st draw in NOV to make the draw close to what we can achieve incase there will be a recalculation.*
2. Incase 8777 is not achieved before AOR, can the application be submitted unaccompanied hopefully to keep trying IELTS and get more than the draw point while the application process is still ongoing.
3. Will the spouse's IELTS be requested when we decide to make the application accompanied after AOR?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Agreline: 10:49am On Oct 08, 2022
Thanks for responding. Yes the reason for rejection is related to the ADR but I still had up to 21st of this month to provide the documents. In fact I had gotten all already except for the last one. Yes, I ordered GCMS in 2021 but the it didn't signify anything wrong with my application , nothing was flagged. What is confusing me is that why will they request for additional documents for eligibility and then reject me before the due deadline of providing the documents

I suspect the answer is yes to all 3 questions but I cannot say it with my full chest.

If draws continue at this pace and scores drop by 5 points, even at 485 you may still be safe and get ITA before year end.

If it were me, I would beg/convince spouse to redo IELTS immediately, hope for 8777 and see if you can get that before end of Oct.

Some say they changed spouse to accompanying after PPR (not AOR), you can try this if you have the liver. Search NL for Remicynt's posts and search on Canada.visa too. Any changes you make post AOR but before PPR may lead to a recalculation of CRS AFAIK.

your current copr would be cancelled. You will need to update proof of funds for 2, she will do medicals and pcc. Used to take 2 to 3 months back then. Not seen anyone doing it recently. Its either you do this, or come back to marry and file for her which take 12 months on the average

If you are comfortable, remove personal details and post your letter.

An officer may decide not to give you the opportunity to respond to an ADR if he reconsidered and believes it is something obvious that you should have provided upfront. It could also be an admin error. Maybe one officer sent for ADR and another one rejected outright.

I'm not sure we can say more since we don't know the exact eligibility concern. If you can share your letter, the good people here can attempt to dissect it. If you can't share, then email IRCC and/or lawyer up.

Use webforms too but their responses are notoriously slow. You have 60 days to submit a judicial review.
