I stood as guarantor for a friend who took 100 k loan from a MFB and was supposed to pay over a period of 6 months. He has since relocated since May this year and another friend told me he has been defaulting since April.

The MFB have not contacted me till now.
Should I just go and pay them to avoid embarrassment? I need genuine advice please.

Loan is 100k since January.

Best advice for this period.

If u have the money pay them to avoid embarrassment. Next time, never stand as a gaurantor for anyone.

next time don't be a guarantor to someone ... better still let it be money you can afford if anything goes sour....pay it if you have the money....a lady friend of mine who is a nurse is facing such problem now....she stood as a guarantor to a friend who borrowed 2million.....now the her friend has defaulted and has moved to another state...she has been detained for almost a month now... until they find the borrower.....not a good experience when it comes to money issue..shine ya eye
