I think it's a bit of both. Even in judicial reviews, they give the exact same application to another visa officer to review.

But I will also like Makano to share the changes he made. I'm sure we can all learn something from it.

olokings:
The lesson is in what you change.

It will be nice to share that. So lots of other folks here can learn from that and save themselves huge pitfalls.

The prayer part, highly subjective.

makano:
Your assumption is on point.. Sometimes Visa approval depends on the kinda Visa Officer that attends to an application..

Early this year I had a case of an applicant who got refused and contacted me, after reviewing the whole of her application, I told her this application of hers can actually get her a study permit Visa, she was suggesting Judicial Review (JR) but I told her no need of JR cos its is expensive and time consuming..

I just adjusted some things in her SOP and drafted her LOE, and we re-applied with the same documents (no addition, no subtraction) she submitted in her refused application.. And she got her Visa in 2 months time...

We ordered for her GCMS notes, despite getting approved cos I wanted to check something and I discovered her re-application was handled by a different Visa officer..

That is why atimes I do tell applicants, one prayer you all should be praying is that "Let my application get to the hands of the right Visa Officer, the Visa officer that will favour my application".

Peace

Makano pls can I have ur email address, I want ur explanation on issue that retrieve my legs

my GCMS notes never came till day.

Although it was 75 days delay as at date when i recieved PPR.

When i engaged them, i was told it will be delayed (processed) in excess of 45 + additional 30/60/90 days factorial.

Perhaps this is new information.

Sorry please evaluate I don't exactly understand your notes stated 45+ days delay that is either 75/105/135 days after submission am I right? Did they keep to the timeframe?

Hello guys,
Congratulations to everyone who has gotten his or her PPR and those expecting their good news, I say celebrate already for you are winning this.

I have questions to ask please guys pardon me for I am a novice. I have read most of the pages though not all.

1. I currently do not have enough money to sponsor my self and I have someone who could sponsor me but we are not in anyway related. My program will be September 2023, Since I haven't started application yet. Do u think he should be depositing let's say 500k naira monthly from now to build the account to maybe February? OR

2. Should he put a lumpsum now and start putting some regular amount monthly since by March if I want to submit application the lumpsum won't reflect.

3. Should he send the money to my family member say Dad or Mum then they will send it to me with affidavit of deed? Will they be required to submit their statement of account?

This person is willing to sponsor me but we are not related in anyway but a good friend.

How do u go about this please?

I need your advice Guys.

How long does it take for the school to acknowledge and process transcript sent to them?

5-10 business days. You can also verify from your application portal in the To Do section. The status will change from “document required” to “no to-do required” or something like that
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by meemeelisco(f): 5:25am On Oct 11, 2022
You only need to show proof of funds for 1 year! Even Dangote doesn't have money lying around in advance for 4 years. How many Canadians can pay their tuition without funding?

There are other variables a VO considers when accessing an application. It is holistic and not just proof of funds. Why was Yemi Alade’s visa denied?

olokings:
you are not considering other critical factors such as source of funds being stable enough to continually provide income to the applicant over the duration of their study. if it is someone whose source of income will be significantly impact due to his absence from duty post during study, you think it will be illogical to ask for providing PoF for the duration of the study. So after paying you 1st year tuition, and consuming your cost of living for year 1. what happens to your welfare if you are unable to secure a well paying employment, or things turn around for your income / sponsor since they only showed 1 year PoF.

Let us just reason this thing and look at it from a third party point of view without sentiments. These VOs are plain objective and logical beings... some may be linient and consider the overall weight of your eligibility points, that doesnt invalidate the individual requirements and their criticality when packaging your application. Lets be direct with our consideration too.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by bepositive11: 5:58am On Oct 11, 2022
Keep in mind that you'll have to detail the sources of those funds. IRCC will also consider your employment history and your future career prospects and salary potential in Nigeria after you graduate.

Makano please, I would like to enquire more about the POF. I had about #12.6m NGN (after paying over #4m NGN as per tuition fee for the first semester) in my account as at when I submitted my study permit in July 13th, I have left this funds in my account for a very long time that I now had to use from it to do business and currently, I only have about #2.4m NGN sitting in my account. Please, if my file is to be attended to today, can this affect my application? Or would they only attend to my application based on what I submitted then?
NOTE: My school started in September, I had to defer my admission to W-23 (January, 2023).

Kindly clarify a brother. Thanks.

Goto your student portal on myunb

click on "international students payments"

click on "CIBC International Student Pay".

select "No" to recruiter / agent

Input your Country & Region, and "Amount" you wish to pay. in Canadian Dollar

The System will initiate and give you the various options for payment, one of which is the US Dollar Equivalent to be paid via "Bank Wire".

Select the "Bank Wire" Option and an Invoice will be generated on screen and also to your email.

Take that, attach the usual docs, such as int'l passport, LOA, Ungergrad Certs, etc. and submit a tuition pay request on the Nig. Trade Sys. as Form A

ciao.

thank you so much. Pls where do I input my student number.

No it would not, IRCC only uses the bank statement presented in your application to evaluate your file. They do not have access to bank account and cannot just check the money in it. Why people advises that the money remain there for the time of processing is because they may sometimes request an updated copy of your bank statement so I would not say you are on safe grounds but I won't say you have entered a dangerous territory either. Just be on standby anyways.
