There's is sound logic for this. INEC says foreigners cannot donate to "political parties" in Nigeria. However, it never said they couldn't donate to candidates. So, what PO did is outsmart INEC. Those foreigners can donate to PO's campaign using the other account he dropped. This way, he navigates any legal issues that INEC or anyone else might raise against the Labour Party.

See picture 1 below.

Subsequently, a week later Peter Obi also posted a website the

for members and well wishers to donate funds for the success of the party campaign programme.
He also posted a different bank account number in the website for donations.

The question people are asking is that "was the first Zenith bank account number not approved by Peter Obi. It is that we should stop donations to labour party and use the website as the authentic point for donations.

Please Peter Obi should clarify this issue before fraudsters take advantage of the confusion arising.

Apc raised funds through our national budget if you know you know, apc raised funds via selling thier party presidential ticket for 100million even akpabio, rochas, amosun and co who know they wont smell aso rock also bought the ticket to raise fund for tinubu, pdp has raised their own fund for 16years through different means including pading of budget to fund their party. So if obi and labour chose to seek your support as long as they didnt increase your tarrif or increase fuel price just to gain profit to fund their party i will support them.
