BascoVanVeli: I didn't say that. Having a long throw is not an attribute that will give you competitive advantage in modern day football amongst the various other core required skill sets. 3 Likes |

You don't say bruv! You didn't know as of Here and Now 1 year and 6 months ago Moffi had scored 16 goals in ligue 1? The highest number of goals by a Nigerian striker in the french league but you still went ahead to say he wasn't up to par compared to others. Please give it a rest and just own your bias with your chest. komekn: 9 Likes |

komekn: U did say that oga. U said football has gone away from long balls but are the Super Eagles not a football team Having a long thrower gave Plateau United 2 league titles and now they defeated a giant in the continent with 2 throws by Itodo. So saying it doesn't give u a competitive advantage is just ridiculous. It might not give u an advantage in England but it sure does in this part of the world. 6 Likes |

Exactly! Iwobi lost the ball in the middle of United's half. Everton had enough men behind to have tried and stopped Ronaldo plus the Casemiro pass was dead accurate. Icon79: 3 Likes |

komekn: I think you are wrong in this aspect. In today's game, Guardiola has pushed the boundaries of defending throw-ins, and most times players seem lost while taking them. A lot of times, most players give up possession due to how tightly marked their teammates are. However, with someone with a strong long throw-in attribute, he can pick out free team mates in wide areas. So, a player good at long throw-ins will be a huge asset. Just as goalkeepers gifted with long throws and long balls. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

BascoVanVeli: I think komekn meant to say direct long balls. Because, today, long balls are key in the modern game. Take into picture Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Thiago Alcantara, Kalvin Phillips, and many others. However, the long ball preference lies on diagonal long balls and is not directed to big men in offensive areas. |

Odunayaw: Salisu tried... i have no doubt if Pinnick led nff had given the team the necessary support like proper camping and the privileges to play some friendlies even at least organised nigeria club sides it would have go a long way. So blame Pinnick/Seyi/Dikko/Alhaji Salisu the nff permanent sec |

komekn: The bolded I think we talked on this long enough that football does not revolve around league rankings. KVB, Hazard, Ndidi,Lukaku, Kompany etc all evolved from the Belgian league currently you have club d brugge sitting with 9 points in UCL a club from the 9th ranking league in the world. Even Portuguese Sporting Lisbon beat up Spurs in same UCL. Zagreb whipped chelsea too football is not mathematics what is necessary for a young player is getting play time to grow and showcase his potentials... then and then we can take it up from there. The rise of sadiq ought to have humbled u by now 1 Like |

Odunayaw:The players ought to have done better not to concede 2 goals in Ghana. I expected them to qualify for the chan as such launch their international career from there....with the way you guys are hyping them here they should have done the magic. Me I didn't hype Salisu at all...just saying had it been he was given necessary support he would have done better |
