How often should one disturb (remind) a connect (politician) about his words on securing a job offer? It's been over 2 months and I do text him once in 2 weeks because he doesn't pick calls.

My journey started here, and one time I just met him at a social event when he was alone and I introduced myself, although he knew my father. I started hustling for his private number and I got it. I tried calling several times but he doesn't pick then one day I sent him a text then after like two days he actually called me back and I reintroduced myself. He asked me his questions and I told him all I needed was a Job and he said he will help... That's my own story maybe you might find some guide here.
