Hello SoftdudeKay,

If you intend for your spouse to join you and if you didn't declare being in a common-law relationship at the time of submission, it will be wise to inform IRCC by attaching the necessary evidence like the wedding invitation, marriage certificate, change of name (if done already), photos, etc.

If you notify IRCC after the application has been approved, the assessment of the authenticity of the union might pass through rigorous scrutiny. Though not like that which is conducted for the Express Entry system.

Success is all I Wish You!

Please, how do I know when my eligibility starts? I submitted online on July 13th.

Kindly help.
Thanks.

I don’t have a GCkey account. I only login through their portal. Can I still sign up the GCkey account?

I think it's too risky for him to inform them at the border. They may send him back to Nigeria then and there.

cooooooks:
1. He is supposed to inform IRCC. He could also inform them at the border.

2. If it is the same program/length/province he should be fine, but it is the border agent who will decide.

The main thing is that he must be enrolled full time.

As these people refused to send me a medical request and eligibility started since 30th August. I went to do upfront medicals at IOM on the 26th of Sep. it was updated to pass today. It’s now left for us to be looking at each other. God will help us.

Did you order your GCMS notes?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Timex146: 10:00pm On Oct 12, 2022
It’s thesame with GCkey
Just log in and check where your Eligibility is. If it has started, you will see ‘we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements’

NECO qualifies you for a post-secondary education in Nigeria and most schools go by whatever that qualifies one for post secondary education in his home country.

House, this is what I see when I check the Eligibility. The first picture is before I click on the Eligibility, and the second picture is the message I see when I click on the Eligibility. Does this mean they haven’t started reviewing my eligibility yet?

Kindly clarify a brother please.

True. Border agents are not all the same and have much less oversight.
They don't always know the current policies and their decisions are final.

Normally upfront medicals is optional not mandated . For now u don’t need medical exam, when ur application gets to certain level on their table they wud send u email requesting for medicals ,that’s what that statement means.. And at this stage ur application success rate is about 95% if they request for medicals
