Adukky pls where are you based? Concerning the cereal thingy I would need lessons from you concerning the measures you stated. Firstly first.... refrigerated foods is a No-No 2nd....I don't eat foods that exceed a day 3rdly...we practically eats outside daily, and trust me it's tears my finances. I use to buy foodstuffs in bulks, but most get spoilt and rotten without me ever noticing it. Culprits are raw eggs, yam tubers, cassava flakes and potatoes. Mind giving tutorials on the way forward to manage in this hard biting economy. 1 Like |

1)No eating out(although I usually cheat my self by buying ice Creame and meat pie) 2)Only use hot plate since we do av light for like 85 percent of the time. (Although I am filled up gas but I rarely use it except if there's no light and I urgently want to cook. 3)Used to buy branded and sealed groundnut oil before.....but for since buhari happened.....i switched to unbranded ones....after all ororo na ororo. 4)Buy satchet of tea and milk in rolls. Had to switch from peak milk to cowbell. 5)I used to use always cotton soft before but had to switch to lady care.....and I buy from market 450 per one. 6) add meat and fish to my food once in a while. After all if I no chop animal I no go die 7)for egg....I buy three for 200 at the market. 8........ 6 Likes 1 Share |

Ditto on going to the farthest market. Switched yellow garri for white. Bulk buying, no more juice for the kids snacks to school, just biscuits or flour snacks which I make myself if I have time. Buy the big premier bar soap. No more assorted beauty soap. No more buying crispy chicken and chicken strips at shop right, I make my own. No more ordering cake for anyone. I make my own. Etc. This economy really happened to everyone... 5 Likes |

These your measures should be adopted nationally at the next FEC (Federal Executive Council) meeting if Buhari/Osunbande have wisdom. It is packed with survival guides and more valuable than 100 motivational books sold at public packs. |

My tips for anyone struggling Switch to charcoal or fire wood cooking instead of gas or hot plate if you're not paying for electricity Buy in bulk from the village Have a farm and rear poultry No need paying for a much bigger house rent , move to an older building The older the better My mom lives in a house built before the civil war and is still living there ( the house is perfectly okay, even better than a new house ) Switch your kids from private to missionary schools Stop subscribing to cable , watch plain tv ( just connect a signal antenna to your tv) Buy milk and tea unbranded not branded ( those cocoa products) Switch to honey and ditch sugar Switch to a cheap network like glo or consider using your rich neighbor's wifi ( if you're a woman , you can get with this easily by asking for the WiFi password) Park your car and start using public transport Read books even your secondary school books can be useful to you Eat more fruits( there are trees around in a low area looking for someone to pluck them) Bill the men in your DM if you're a woman Set traps for bush meat and your house for delicious rat meat |

Got a side hustle, because children's expenses are hard to cut back on if you were already controlling in the first place. This is the most important step for me. Buying in bulk, for items that are not easily perishable like rice, spices We never used foreign rice, and use corn flour instead of semo. Other forms of swallow are also available. Mix Shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil and blue seal as cream. My children's skin reacts to most creams though. Buy economy size detergents for laundry. Switch off appliances not in use since we use prepaid meter, and use solar to charge our appliances during daytime. |
