I believe that bombing incident shaped the perception of south westerners about the war. Initially southwesterners felt like uninterested party in the war; I guess that incident changed a whole lot of things.

The Nigerian civil war is a very complex war that a whole lot of truths, half truths and falsities being peddled then and even some being mouthed till date.

Until all surviving actors in the war can come out, state their accounts, apologize where they need to and reconcile on their differences, Nigeria will continue to be a divided country

I wonder what someone like Dele Farotimi will have to say about the person of Doyin Okupe heading the campaign team of Peter Obi. I've watched several videos of Dele Farotimi on Arise TV and I know him to be an activist who condemns corruption, hammers our leaders for their excesses as far as governance is concerned, etc.

I wonder how he will feel being a spokesperson on a team that has Doyin Okupe one of the beneficiaries of the Dasuki largesse as the campaign director.

I guess politics does make people strange bed fellows. I mean look at Keyamo who took Tinubu certificate forgery case heads-on that time is now the man acting as his spokesperson today

Any leader or president that chooses not to carry all component units along like governors, senators, local politicians etc will just have the country go to flames under him

This doyin matter I just read today weak me honestly.
Since this year, this man has been Obi's pillar of support, it's even said that he was the one who gave Obi the final push to leave the PDP and test his popularity outside the big party.
They said he's also majorly responsible with intense lobbying for the endorsement of the afeniferi group of Obi which has given Obi a minor percentage of legitimacy in Yorubaland.

To learn of his corrupt antecedents was a big blow for me, I guess nigeria would always be nigeria.
The solace I take from this is the fact that okupe is not the one on the ballot. It's Peter Obi.
Obi is the one with integrity, with humility, simplicity and no evidence of greed or kleptomania in government. He owns his campaign fully. So I expect that that will definitely rub off on the rest.
