I have a cat that I buy cat food for, but this same cat doesn't seems to be content with only its food anymore and would eventually come to me with a big visible full stomach and still beg for food from me whenever I eat.

It wasn't like this before and it only started recently.

I don't believe in beating up domestic animals, especially cats, but I sometimes find myself fighting over a plate of food with this cat and whenever I try to shout at it, most of the time it would meow back at me instead of being frightened.

I'm worried that one day it's gonna display these same manners towards visitors when I offer them food and I know how a lot of black Africans hate cats and can't stand them.

What can I do to make it stop begging for food whenever I eat?

well I had a local breed that was like that, at the sight of chicken she starts crying and will even jump on the plate, she even goes to the trash in the kitchen if chicken scent dy come from there . It was very annoying and I had to give her out . All my current cats know better, when I'm eating they just sit and look at me, they don't even come close to my plate. When they were very little when they come close to me eating I yell stop and if they came closer I will give them a tap on the head or slap their mouth lol no hot slap o . But with time they understood it was bad behavior and they stopped it.

Cats are my worst pet because of their evil tendency. Cat can blind your eyes for no reason. One of my neighbours cat always want boiled egg. So anytime I visit with boil egg that's how it will follow me with the hunch back up and down.

Whenever you want to feed her, try and train her to be restraint. Sit, stop, wait. They understand but are very arrogant. And there’s nothing bad in sharing your food with your pet it’s a sign they love you. You see all these Nigerian comments here. They are just bunch of foolish people. Aloe Vera is also bitter
And bitter drugs that are not bad for it
Whenever it begs,add one the two, grind well to smooth and add to a very little portion.
Continue like that till it understands begging means bitter.

I do feed it.. I make sure that there's always food and water in its bowls.

Have something it doesn't eat with you whenever you are eating and give it to him he will avoid your dining table after and mind it's business.
