I am in ghana also . Having millions in Naira converted to ghana cedis is nothing . If you have 5 million in Naira it’s better you invest it in Nigeria than investing it here in ghana . 5 million in ghana is like 1 million naira .

I tell people the average Ghanaian has 1 -3million in Naira which he or she can waste around or play with . If he should come to Nigeria he would spend it good . But in ghana it’s nothing . Even when you invest and making the money the cost of things is triple to the cost of things in Nigeria so you find out the system is taking your money back because you have to also save here and try to save back home . At the end you might not get anything .

The average car conductor in ghana uses a brand new 100k android phone . Even thou he might not be educated much he only has primary - secondary school certificate .

Also you would be shocked to see many of them using iPhone 11-13 pro without tangible jobs . Not that they do yahoo yahoo but it’s easy to make the money or get loans to acquire such here as citizens . 500k to Nigerian who sees it as money a Ghanaian doesn’t see that money converted to his currency as money . I sometimes spend 10 k daily which I might not know what the money is spent on . But back home in Nigeria I wouldn’t spend that much . Cost of diesel here in ghana is 1300 per litter and cost of petrol is 1,100 so you should know that with such the cost of transportation also and food is far too expensive .

Cheese balls sold at 50 naira to 60 naira in Nigeria is sold here at 300 naira . Make I no even start to mention other things una go fear fear

Many Ghanaians are complaining of the present government and inflation.....This is Ghana that has since been more expensive than Naija.... It is just like spending in a mini abroad though still in Africa.

Most people don't know Nigeria is still the cheapest African country or one of the first 3 cheapest African countries..... Our government needs to get it right on security and electricity, 'meter' every house..... Meter from Cotonou ( with assembly plant @ Ouidah, President Patrice Talon's hometown) is 13000-20000frs depending on quality/ durability and if it is single or 2 phase meter..... From Cameroon, it is 4000-8000frs..... Cameroon seems cheaper than Ghana especially on local food.... Not bad on processed food eg Spaghetti etc but Naija is cheaper for processed food and drinks( Ghanaian drinks are expensive like in Francophone countries)....

Benin to me is better than Ghana apart from schooling unless you don't mind following the French system of schooling and attending it's government institutions which are in French and not so cheap( 200,000 frs for Beninoise as of 2020) and for those advocating that one can go into the hinterlands in Ghana, living in NEAT Ouidah( has toll gates) or Pahou is okay too(1hr+ from main entry park)...No Police on the road, not to talk of Police intimidation in Benin.

Hoping things will be better in Nigeria.... If not for the way things are and lack of integrity in our people, we don't need to really solicit for foreign investors when many Nigerians are outside and can bring businesses and partnerships apart from foreign currencies, into Nigeria.

Nigeria is geographically bigger than Ghana and the road networks are more.... Bigger markets( Stock exchange, FGN bonds, Treasury bills, market size) due to our population ( though APC slowed down the market for a long time).

Zimbabwe's inflation this week is more than 90%.

I came into this country using an iPhone 7, now I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max, it was in this country I met davido one on one. This time last year I was a millionaire here in Ghana. So u see, I cannot say Ghana has been bad to me.

Fast forward to today, I am penniless. At the verge of being thrown to the street. House rent is due in few weeks time. No money for bank account, I don’t even know where the money will come from. I have contemplated returning back to Nigeria, but am I going to borrow the money to do so? Even if I return back to Nigeria now, will I return back to my father’s house? These are the questions.

Well, for now. I think I have to keep being positive and remain on my grind, hoping for God to make a way for me. That’s my only hope.

With continued pressure and as a typical African politician the president didn’t want it to appear as if he didn’t consider his citizens first before the foreigners and with the election approaching so he yielded, You can see that in how he struggled to win the election. I have businesses in the city of Accra so do many Nigerians and throughout that time there wasn’t any problem except those In Circle market and their spare parts market, Abossu okai ( I’m not sure I got the spellings correct ) and Mokola market(which they opened back in less than a month)

Ghana have an edge over Nigeria in electricity and security. In this aspect Ghana is better than Nigeria because without security and electricity how can people do business without hitches.
