Bello is looking for money....yeye governor. Does he really care abput Kogi. Back to the main topic. The response by BUA is just a faction of challenges Nigerian 6and foreign investors have or face and a major reason businesses dont thrive ir fold up or go to Ghana. Nigerian government should stop looking at immediate gains but put in place enabling environment for businesses to thrive and come to their states or the country 2 Likes |

The reason why Lagos is reconstructing the Ajah-Epe Express is to assist investors in that corridor with good access road for easy movement of goods and services. My state Edo, just like Kogi, should do the same but....... Nooooo. They won't spend a Kobo. They rather fight and arm twist investors for financial and political gains. 1 Like |

Only in Nigeria, that when you want to build any business, are you expected to pay the state, the FG, the traditional rulers, the local gov chair, the youth fee, the official fee, and then also build roads and water for the community. And also have your small electricity generation tapped by locals. I go America for visit, many businesses, have to pass the town planning approval, pass the building code, pay their official taxes, and resume business. Even the lg will try and build road for the business to thrive. In Nigeria, there are no plans for general progress. We are flawed in all aspects. 2 Likes |

Sanction bua how? Is there anything in kogi possession that they can use to sanction BUA group? I think what kogi government lack in dealing with some of these private company is transparency. They like dealing in corner corner ways...and whenever they feel cheated they cries to the public. 9jahotblog: |

The State should share out the land to RCCG, MFM and Winners and watch the place develop, become secure and full of life and start generating reasonable IGR within the next three years! Say No to Blackmail, say no to Northernization of Yoruba Nation! |

9jahotblog:Where is it a crime in the Land Use Act to apply for Governor’s consent, then abandon it? To pay whatever fines to the Governor will not be a problem to BUA as in compared to the loss they would have heaped, had they gone on with the failed projected project. |

Buckeyemedia1:kikiki get off my mention joor. It’s a big fat lie here, why are they holding the acres of land for years if not Kogi State house of Assembly that performed their statutory functions in discovering that BUA company haven’t pay for the large expanse of land. The kogi state government suppose to punish them for holding the land for years. It’s 10 years they have been holding that large expanse of land now. |

9jahotblog: If you have interest in a land, you have to first get CofO before you can fully and properly assess the land if it meets your needs. Especially in large size projects. Since the said land doesn't meet its needs, then they don't want it again. There is nothing wrong with this. There is no law that says you cannot abandon or have revoked, any CofO you get. So how do you suppose BUA be fined seriously? This is the problem here with Nigeria. People like you goading public officials to be tyrants and do things outside the laws. Also, the Kogi government has a duty to provide access to the land or any other land people want to use, but you don't ask the State to be fined for not being responsible to investors. And there are laws already in place that guides the acquisition of land. If BUA didn't pay for it, then the CofO is automatically revoked and it reverts back to the State. Kogi is complacent if for 10 years, they couldn't apply an already establish law, but the money BUA will pay that they want to steal, is all they are interested in, and they have been scheming for 10 years |
