A friend (F4 category, PD long current) I was tracking for interview update recently abandoned everything & left for Canada after receiving several 60-day notice emails.

I was hoping to share his feedback with bonawaja & a couple of other guys asking for similar updates here.

Interviews are being scheduled as usual for current cases as per priority dates.

Your priority date is not yet current for F4 visa. They will not schedule your interview until your priority date is current for visa issuance.

The priority date for F4 visa issuance is 22MAR07.

It's difficult to say actually. It all depends on number of people in F4 before you vs number of available F4 visas in a year.

I will recommend you check the visa bulletin, that link I shared monthly to watch the movement of the priority dates.

Yes but the visa bulletin has been stuck in March 07 for about a year now.

i-140 is for alien workers. you are on the wrong thread... you (or your employer) will need to file an i-485. The case number on your approved i-140 remains the same case number that will be used in filing your i-485. Unless you mentioned the wrong form...

how old are you? If you are below 18 you are a citizen by derivatives. If you’re above 18 it would take 3-4years on average depends on the wait time.

That's exactly how it works, it's actually being updated based on the workload that's why you think it's not moving. The visa bulletin is still your best way to track the system. Get busy with other things because it may take more years than you expect to get to your priority date.

You didn't document your app on time. Someone I know with Nov 2006 is in the US two years now. Nobody knows as you PD is current and nothing is moving especially in the F4 category. So disheartening.

I know and that was what I meant. I had to pressure a family to abandon their family lawyer and fill out the form themselves and it worked in their favor.They are in the US now while those who delayed are still out.
