Coldie:
A clash has been happening at alaba market since morning, no police men in sight.

But after it’s over the government would come and shutdown the market and purnish people defending their business and source of livelihoods from criminals
Don't mind them

These jobless Agberos/omoniles will not go and work to earn a decent living. Always looking to extort hardworking traders. This is the South-West's version of the out-of-school children in the North who are turning into Banditry and Terrorism.
They’re still far better than UGM and Igbos

Because regardless of what you say; the implicit message behind that statement was deduced by me and others who are discerning.

Igbo people (or any Nigerian for that matter) should NOT accept second class status anywhere they choose to reside and do their legitimate business IN THIS COUNTRY.

Let me just assume that your comment was tongue in cheek

How does a state allow thugs and hooligans take over markets and parks?!!

That's some serious level of underdevelopment and backwardness!

No one will reason this way but will be quick to condemn the tax collectors. The problem is in Onitsha, it's Igbos taxing Igbos. Believe me if the tax collectors used by lagos state in Alaba were Igbos, no one will raise eyebrows

Whether Igbo, Yoruba, or Fulani, someone like me will NEVER pay tax to a street tout with smelly dreads and burnt lips.

Why can't the government of the day employ SSCE, OND holders, give them clean uniforms, train them properly, and hand to them tools to work with (IDs, POS, etc.) rather than sending touts and rascals to people's shops?

If you don't have a shop in Lagos, I guess you may never understand what some of them go through.

The shameless government will not act now for election reasons but the day these guys will grow so big ehn, even Sanwo-Olu may have to relocate his family and friends to Abuja.

Let's keep breeding e-diots. The endsars era was a perfect time to totally wipe out these elements from Lagos but they turned the whole thing to a Yoruba vs. Igbo issue. If you tax the Igbo trader unjustly, who will bear the consequences? No be buyers??

This is one of the things Tinubu introduced to Lagos and by extension Nigeria.

Touts that he uses to intimidate and torture his perceived enemies, it's election time again and he's slowly reactivating them.
Is it Ignorance that's some of you problem or what? Touts have been existing in Nigeria since the military days

It is very annoying when some Yorubas claim that Tinubu or that Yorubas built Lagos, Lagos was FCT for 77 years built by the sweat and resources of every tribe even before Tinubu became governor, just Imagine Abuja that has been FCT for just over 30 something years, then the Gbagyi people begin to lay claims to the development of Abuja and insulting other tribes that they are Lazy, wouldn't it be an insult to every other tribe in Nigeria...

And please don't bring the bullshit of Enugu or Calabar as FCT, please state the number of years they were...
The problem with some of you is that, you do not know the difference between the Federal Capital Territory of Lagos and Lagos State.

Thank You !
You know I used to say it

A lot of Nigerians don't have sense.

Because only someone without sense with subscribe to bigotry.

Every single thing is Igbo vs Yoruba
Not knowing that these thugs they are pampering and siding cos they are "their brother" and they must support "their side" will soon become a monster that they no longer control

Some even subscribe to the idea of using them to disenfranchise voters in Lagos for exercising their citizenship right at the polls

Those thugs were beaten and dealt with in 2019..
And if they come again 2023

The fiasco that will follow will not be nice

Let us continue being foolish in this country.

There is nowhere agbero no dey. Go to Warri, Bayelsa, port Harcourt, you can't even carry out any contract, maybe road construction that will be beneficial to the people without paying what they called "Deve". From Onitsha head bridge to upper Eweke Na agbero full am. Na wen you drop your goods there you go know say lagos agbero dey learn work. You can't leave Onitsha market with your goods without paying money to agbero on your way out. No be today. The problem with lagos is that some people believed " lagos is no man's land". What they can't try in their state they come here to exhibit.

Your elders who misinformed you about the history of my city did you great injustice.smh.

Go and read about the Saros, Agudas, white cap chiefs, Sir Ajasa, Epe, Ikorodu, Badagry ,Efuntoye Tinubu etc then come back and share with us how these folks have anything to do with others in order to build Lagos. The Lagos you see today is a vision passed down from generations to generations. Lagos has never been for sale. The secret of Lagos is in that vision.

The good thing is that it can be replicated. Today, Ogun state IGR is more than that of the 5 SE states yet the aspiration did not start today and at some point Abeokuta was even ahead of Lagos.

How about you ASK why people of "that ethnic group" have such grieviances?
And btw; you are too educated to know that an entire ethnic group should not be stereotyped

You live in Canada; will you be happy if your kids are stereotyped the same way ?

Bigotry and Ethnocentrism is the legacy of this outgoing govt
